I’m sure you guys know what your doing, but I’d love to make a suggestion. Soak your pellets the night before in herring oil. I also keep some pink salmon and grind it up. On short soaks like those you really need your bait to milk out.

Shrimp oil I find works the best

Yep, the bait is the key, gotta soak the pellets for at least a day in oil, or better yet, blend them after soaking in the shrimp oil, then mix with mackerel and cat food! Then youll get alot more!!

Looked like you had the bull dog attachment..should have made it hands free retrivial....and self coiller...you just need a wider container to let it cool in..or just coil in a shrimp pot...just some ideas.. I soak my pellets in half vegatable oil and fish fertilizer..the night before.

not sure whether the spot you guys are prawning is busy or gets boat traffic going over top of your traps. If that's the case, your blue floating line can cause a number of issues. First issue is when it is just below the surface and another boat goes by and gets your line caught in their prop. Will take them a long time to untangle and it's also very unsafe when someone is hanging over the transom trying to undo the tangle. Some people would not go through the hassle and risk of hanging over their transom and will cut your line. Your line may also be cut if it hits the prop blades. That's a lot of expensive gear to lose. But like I said, i have no idea where you are prawning.

A friendly bit of advice you should never unhook your bouey from the trap line when pulling your gear! That line slips from your hand you might as well kiss that trap goodbye!

Buy a bit bigger bucket and ....stay of with your hands !. You turn and twitch it the wrong way all the time.
