Buckethead is a truly gifted artist, and the one time the word "underrated" can truly be used. Of Buckethead, Slash once said that he was not terribly impressed with his time in GNR. It was only when Slash returned to GNR, and had to play the songs that Buckethead played, that Slash truly understood how great Buckethead was. To Slash's credit, he did right a wrong and he not only gave Buckethead the credit he deserved, he praised his guitar playing skills....And, Slash even acknowledged how difficult it was to play those Buckethead GNR songs.

I remember playing the ending solo a lot when I was practicing guitar, one of my favorite moments and solos in a song ever

I, personally, think that’s why Col. Claypool’s Bucket of Bernie Brains wasn’t nearly as good, no B in Les Claypool.

"buckethead has no soul in his music"= i have listened to jordan or nottingham lace without noticing the other 200 albums.
@illidan1557 жыл бұрын
nottingham lace is a rare combination of technique + soul, you might have to listen to it again :D

illidan155 I know that, but to the outside listener it isn't a good representation of all of his works.

you are right, bucket has too many tracks and too many styles, he cant be just defined by one track. but if you ask me, when i think of bucket, i think of Aunt Suzie and Too Many Humans, thats how i see him, how bout u :) ?

It’s the simple solos where Buckethead really shines. This is a great album overall.

The 2 parts of this song don't really go together, at least in my opinion. First half is funky and light hearted, then the solo is very heartfelt and almost sad. It's an interesting contrast.

@SpoonFucked But you can hear bucketheads input on certain songs like the peaceful riff at 4;50 till the ending of song, Inter world and new innocence is bucketheads peaceful sunlight serenity, Still unrecognized by many guitar players, The pretty things he does separates him from other guitarist , guitarist play pretty things too, but not like buckethead, I never hear rock guitarist play anything like (for mom) (hills of eternity) (datura) (homing beacon) im off track here, sorry my bad

To me buckethead has so much emotion with every note. Just an unnatural force of pure musical talent. So much feeling. I truly hope he keeps getting recognized.

Why wasn't the 4:16 part given its own track?! Also, Buckethead should've continued that part and then transitioned it into another song.

Only part I don't like about this song is the very end. Not because it ends; don't get me wrong. Rather the last few notes of the solo just end abruptly and it sounds like he ran out of ideas on where to take it next.
