Discovered Big B. five years ago. My wife had end stage kidney disease and was on dialysis when I discovered Buckethead. I wouldn't be here without this music. It's therapy. Miss you baby. Love you.

One of the greatest, soul touching pieces of art music. Goose bumps every single time! Love how 'Brain' (Bryan Mantia) plays so intense
@corbinmartinez720610 жыл бұрын
Praxis at its absolute best. Buckethead is darker than usual here, and his tone is top notch, '96 was his best year tone wise in my opinion. The combination of buckethead's avant guitar, Laswell's dub/jazz groove, old school hip hop from mmm and disk, and dxt's creepy keys and trippy industrial voice scratches is unparalleled in aesthetic. Laswell's mind is amazing.

Personally I think Bucket sounded best playing this ESP. I was never a fan of his Les Paul tone.
@waydebaker77437 жыл бұрын
Mazic I think his les Paul just takes over to much, takes to much of his emotion away. It does have cool toys on it but I would much rather FEEL bucket. This old stripped down lady he's playing right now just needs to be turned up and I promise you could feel him breathing in your ear

This might be the best version. It might be the greatest thing ever in the history of the world. Its hard to listen to other music when I can listen to this guy. Just so far beyond everyone. Just so much better than anything else I've heard. Really Tools new album is the only other music I've listened to in the past five years. Fear is another masterpiece for Tool. I highly recommend it.

It's probably played in D Aeolian (natural minor). He just plays his guitar tuned half a step down. So tonally, it's C#m, but in a correctly tuned fretboard view, it would be Dm.

Praxis is one of those bands that really captures what music is about. Parliment, Buckethead, Napalm Death...jazz, fusion morphing into prog-metal. I look at other projects like Oysterhead and wonder why we dont see more of these incredible multi-genre groups developing fantastic music. I would say that this number in particular is a natural evolution of real progressive music. Not staying at status quo, not limited to a particular sound or style, but doing exactly what the genre defines. Evolving, changing, progressing.

years ago, driving across the far north (Alaska 2003) I spotted a Kentucky Fried chicken bucket out in the tundra. I miss the Buckethead of the 80's and 90's. Nowadays he just escapes back to that signature-lick when shredding and does nothing else. This is so much more innovative and just... beautiful. I never thought I'd say that shredding could be an absolutely beautiful piece of pure music, so full of emotion. But this is, the early Buckethead was. Bucket, we want this back. What happened to all this? You still make good music but, there's something missing. Buckethead, we want YOU back!
