I prayed the Rosary in Latin and it’s as if I was transported to another place and time. It was akin to being within a dream, but that dream was of Our Mother, her Son, and His promises to us. When I finished, it was like awakening from an extremely fulfilling and deep sleep. God and Mary truly do work through that most holy of spiritual weapons the Rosary.

Languages of the cross Inscribed above the cross in three languages it says “This is Jesus the King of the Jews” in Hebrew, Greek and Latin, see Matt 27:37, Mark 15:26, Luke 23:38 and John 19:19. The Jews still use Hebrew in their prayers, the Orthodox still use Greek in their prayers and us Catholics need to start using more of Latin in our prayers. Literal context and interpretation of the Bible The main problem with the translations from the Septuagint to Latin then to European languages is the Telephone game. Also the linguistists of the renaissance and reformation era were no experts in languages. The context is lost by the translators trying to make certain messages understood to the average reader.
