The spiritual world effects all in the natural including politics. Spirituality is very much involved in politics. The entire Bible involves the rulers of that time and that area.

Yahweh is interested in People and Land(Nations). Yahweh is a King, the King is territorial. King must rule over people. When Jesus came on Earth this was the message He brought, that the kingdom of God is here!!! Therefore politics affect the word of God either positively or negatively... Positively (we have an example of King David) Negatively (we have King Ahab)... Legislations in USA, Europe have affected the church in a big way... So it's ignorant to be oblivious about this matters.

The passage below in first book of Timothy is about praying for our government leaders which is in the political arena and the reason is for his church family to live a quiet and peaceable life and that people might be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth 1 Timothy 2:1-4 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
