If I try to correct a brother or sister in the lord out of love with kindness but results in quarrel & disagreement, am I in or out of a right relationship with my brethren?

What does the Bible say about correcting your brother? I can think of the scripture ““Now if your brother sins , go and show him his fault in private; if he listens to you, you have gained your brother. But if he does not listen to you, take one or two more with you, so that on the testimony of two or three witnesses every matter may be confirmed. And if he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, he is to be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭15‬-‭17‬ ‭NASB2020‬, in which case you bring in witnesses if the brother doesn’t want to hear the argument, but that is direction when your brother sins against you. However if we as the church are the body of Christ, and as a part of the unified body of Christ, one person sins, the sin against themselves and against the body. I think then with discernment and guidance the Holy Spirit can give you the perfect approach to showing someone their wrongdoing in God’s sight, that you may welcome them with the mercy, grace and love that God gives abundantly! If they don’t want to hear that then they Jesus says treat them like someone not to be naturally friendly with.

@mrshmanckles1463 Unfortunately we live in a time where (a) few people accept another person's "speaking the truth in love" regarding something sinful and (b) few oeople care or love another enough to step up and speak to such a person about the sin or bad behaviour. So I think the real problem is a lack of love. If we love one another as Christ loves us, we will not take offense when spoken to about a sin or we will step up and speak up "because we love one another". You can only do what you have to do as a loving person. You cannot be or take responsibility for how the other person reacts.

I am so blessed by this series but DPM, please, I find the numbering (labelling) of it very confusing. Why not just 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. instead of part 1, part 2, part 3 with sub-parts? The feed on KZbin also then bring the incorrect one up as I think its algorithms also get confused 🤔 It is very, very relevant series for the time we are in and because of lack of in depth teaching in churches in general, so I share with others but the label numbering frustrates me...
