Thank you. Prayer does not work. I was raised in church. And as I admitted in the other comments that I believe God exists but he does not answer prayers. He will never change his will for you. There is nothing you can do to change the will of God. I am now an atheist from the perspective that God is unmerciful, dogmatic, and arrogant. Want people to go through hoops to receive a blessing or get a prayer answered. most Christians I know have been praying for decades and still have not been delivered from their circumstances. I have decided to no longer allow my devotion to make a fool of me.

Prayer is useless for obvious reasons. Prayer, to any god, has the same efficacy as crossing your fingers. You would not bet your life on it. Many have died or let others die trying to depend on prayer instead of medical intervention. The delusional will claim that prayer worked when by coincidence something happens after they pray. The ignore they fact that it is not consistent. This is how their logic works: If they have a sick child and they pray for him; if the child lives, it is the will of the god. If the child dies, it is the will of the god. Same results you would expect from praying to a small flat rock.

Ask this question, if someone for example gave you a gift card for food at a restaurant and you used it you would then not pay for your food if it was enough to cover it, right? In other words if someone does something for you or gives you something it negates the need for you to do it, buy it or whatever. It's obvious someone did an act of kindness for you. Prayer has proven fruitful for me. I pray that others can experience this. I don't think prayer works for those who are not genuine.

You pray and you pray but your prayers are never answered, you say to yourself that God works in mysterious ways and perhaps with God's help everything will be alright in the future but you know deep down inside yourself that your pleas and prayers will never be answered because in the big scheme of things you are just not important enough for Jesus to take any action on your behalf. Jesus is a busy guy and there are millions of Christians praying to him every minute of every day, that's billions of prayers he has to consider and prioritize, next he has to check up on whether or not you have been faithful and have been paying your tithes, whether you have asked forgiveness for the plethora of sins you have committed lately and whether or not you have been attending church. If you get a pass on all of God's questions then maybe you'll be put on the list but this is no guarantee that Jesus will see things your way and grant your wishes. You would be far better off asking Satan for help, he's always happy to to listen and he doesn't want ten percent of everything you own. Your choice.

I have to disagree, because when i was a young boy, i used to pray a lot and one day i was given a new phone with no memory card and i needed the memory card so i prayed that God help me get the memory card and when i was sleeping i had a dream that i was walking with my family and found the memory card behind a stone, and the next day my family wanted us to go to the town and on our way there I saw the stone from a dream and and when i looked behind it i found the memory card, so since then i never stoped believing in prayer

The devil (Lucifer) accused God of not being fair, using the excuse that he is all-powerful and controls everything. So God made man and let him live freely (Adam and Eve). The devil was allowed to tempt us, to let man/humans decide for themselves who they will trust and we failed. Our race should've died immediately because God has no place for sin near him, but God is allowing all of this now not out of Hate but out of Grace because he's giving us a second chance. That's why Jesus had to die for us in our place as a perfect sacrifice. God literally gave up His own existence through Jesus and conquered sin just so we may have a second chance to be with him. That's why now this life isn't about riches or whatever we want, it's about simply living and preparing yourself to be with God in heaven because no sin is allowed there ever again in the end. Prayer is a conversation with God, which strengthens your bond. Prayer is about trusting God to do what He says, not making Him do what you want.
