It feels oddly validating to see this much excitement, enthusiasm, appreciation, and love for Filipino food. Recently, I've seen blogs and comments from various content related to Filipino food stating disappointment and even disgust in our cuisine, of it being 'poorly made", lacking identity/quality/herbs/spices/complexity/finesse, and/or being too bland/greasy/salty/sweet and it just being edible but paling in comparison to other cuisines, some saying it's "the worst in Asia" and the "bottom of the barrel" among world cuisines- comments which are apparently said by some foodies, expats, and travelers. It made me feel kind of sad because part of it is our cuisine being misunderstood and compared, but also because Filipino cuisine is so divided and unexplored in it's variety,and is often poorly understood/presented/represented, that those negative opinions from people not having experienced the best food we can offer, probably become some of the reasons why Filipino cuisine isn't booming on trend or getting hyped on a global scale. Watching this video made that sadness go away. I hope you guys can have the opportunity to eat more regional Filipino food from the different provinces too, because we have more than a thousand islands with so much diversity in our varied cuisines. Even just for vinegar, each region has their own recipe, for example. I hope you never stop exploring our cuisine and I hope you can travel here and get a proper authentic experience of our food and cultures around the country with the right guide/s that will bring you to the best spots to feed and tour you around. Thank you for spreading this positivity about us and our food. 💖

I too have noticed such disrespect to the Filipino community in regards to negative food reviews. I was shocked to say the least when I heard all of this nonsense. I truly feel like there might have been an individual who showed disgust to the cuisine and a snowball effect of monkey see, monkey do happened because there is no way so many could truly feel like that. They are doing it for attention by reacting so negatively about it. They think it’s funny!🤦🏻‍♂️ Anyway, enough on those idiotas!🤣 I truly have such a passion for the flavors of Filipino cuisine. The Filipino community everywhere I have traveled have treated me so warmly and like family. I am so grateful.💯❤️🙏🏼 Filipino cuisine is in a league of its own and the delicious flavors are unmatched. We need to put this AMAZING food in the limelight. Too delicious not to.💯🤤😋
