What better way to prepare for Lent and Easter than to listen to conferences from a monk about prayer? In fact, a Benedictine monk is uniquely qualified to teach this valuable skill, since he spends so many hours a day in prayer.

In early October 2013, Fr. Cassian traveled to St. Benedict's Abbey in Still River, MA to give ten conferences to their monastic community. A common thread through his talks is "praying without ceasing", but we can all learn much from his great wisdom and experience. Keep your eyes open as well: the Holy See had commissioned the US Bishops several years ago to issue a new English translation of the Liturgy of the Hours and I think it was supposed to be approved by them this year but Covid-19 may have messed that up.
