The main purpose of my prayer time is not simply to tell Him what I need, but to sit at His feet to worship and adore Him. Jesus said that the Father knows what you need even before you sit to pray. When I forget my needs and give priority to worship Him in my prayer, He knows what to give me before I know what I need. Even when I am facing a burning issue in my life, my whole purpose in praying to Him is to give Him honor and worship, and He will see to my burning issue much more than I can.

I would still look for the verses in the Bible that back up what you are asking God for. Then just pray the exact words in the verse without trying to change them. I pray that this helps. God bless
