Scripture doesn’t tell us who the saints are in Revelation 5:8 but based on the context it would seem like it's the saints here on earth. Suggesting its the saints in heaven is basically writing your own interpretation into the text to support your practice of praying to saints in heaven. One thing is for certain that the prayers spoken of in Revelation 5:8 are being directed to God in Jesus name they are not being directed to Mary or anyone else.

You couldn't provide a single scripture or even an example from scripture of anybody asking those in heaven to pray for them. James 5:16 certainly wouldn't work to support your claim. How is Mary supposed to hear you? How are you supposed to have conversations with her? How are you supposed to confess your sins to her? How is she supposed to confess her sins to you, and yes, she was a sinner. You are adding to God's Word and writing in your own interpretation in order to make it line up with how you feel.

Mary doesn't have the ability to hear or speak to people, especially millions of people at the same time, this is attributing divinity to her, and that's where you get into idolatry. We can communicate with God directly through Christ, but we can not communicate with Mary. You are still writing your own interpretation into the text by taking scriptures about Mary and using them to make it say we should pray to her or pray in her name. This is a very clear example of worshipping and serving the creature, not the Creator Romans 1:21-25. When I asked you how we are supposed to confess to Mary, it was in regards to her ability to have a conversation with you. There's nothing in the scriptures to suggest that Mary can have a conversation with you, so James 5:16 wouldn't apply to those in heaven but on the earth because we can communicate with each other here but we can't communicate with Mary. I also didn't say anything about forgiveness not one word because James 5:16 says to confess our sins one to another that we may be healed we are already forgiven for our sins by Christ and no priest is required for that. John 20:23 is about the preaching of the gospel and whether or not somebody accepts or rejects Christ. I can tell someone that if they reject Christ and the gospel, their sins won't be forgiven, and if they do accept Christ and the gospel, they will be forgiven. In 1 John 2:1, it says if we sin, we have an advocate with the Father, and that advocate is Christ, so did John contradict himself, or does the Catholic church have that scripture out of context? You couldn't provide a single scripture that says if we sin we must go tell another sinful man what we did wrong, then repeat a bunch of prayers followed by doing acts of penance as a part of receiving God's forgiveness and getting back into grace that is blasphemy and is an example of denying the Lord who bought you 2 Peter 2:1.

Revelation, the same book used by them to justify their position says the following: “And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said to me, “Do not do that; I am a fellow servant of yours and your brethren who hold the testimony of Jesus; worship God. For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy,” (Rev. 19:10). John wants to bow the knee and worship the angel. But the angel tells him not to do that because he is a fellow-creature. If the angel says that he is a fellow-creature like John and that John is not to bow to him, then neither should anyone else bow to an angel or any creature so as to offer worship. Worship includes prayer. Therefore, no one should pray to any created thing.

In 1 Samuel 28, Saul visits the witch of Endor to try to have her commune with the spirit of Samuel. Ordinarily, the Devil's angels would create the sound of the voice of the one being communed; however, God sent down Samuel's spirit directly. When Saul is confronted by Samuel, Samuel is somehow aware of things that have happened on Earth even long after his death on Earth and prophesied the death of Saul. In Luke 16, Jesus explains in His parable that Abraham is somehow aware of things that have happened on Earth, even the lives of the rich man and Lazarus that occurred thousands of years after Abraham himself had died on Earth. Even if it's a parable, that is Jesus talking, so I would assume God would know how things would operate in Heaven. Whether the saints can actually hear us or God gives them the information is not relevant. What matters is that we have evidence in the Bible showing that the saints in Heaven know information about things on Earth despite being in Heaven.

I used to pray the short prayers to St. Michael and The patron saint of lost causes, but now i dont. However, one day when i was pushed to my limits in sinning/prngrphy, a prayer for St. Michael popped up on my KZbin feed to pray against Jezebel. After i did, i heard a loud demonic female scream and I was let go from the clutches of lust and perhaps Jezebel herself. Then i mumbled, "Michael," in my sleep. I believe it is only necessary to pray to St. Michael or saints in rare occasions where you need additional assistance and you're deep in sin. There is a difference between asking family or friends to pray For you, to praying To dead people! Jesus is both Mediator, Intercessor & Advocate. If Jesus is sufficient for all those roles then why do we need to pray to Mary or one of the saints, who by the way, are departed?
