The Bible warns strongly against necromancy, speaking to the dead. Mary and saints are dead humans and God does not contradict himself. He would never confuse us and he would have specifically mentioned the exception of saints and Mary if it was ok but he said clearly, never to speak to the dead and praying to saints and Mary is speaking to the dead. Point, blank, period!!! Asking a live person to pray for you is very different than asking a dead human to pray for you. Praying to the father in Jesus name is different because although Jesus was human, he was divine and truly God so he is the only one we can pray to that has lived, died and is now alive again but like I mentioned the Bible says he is the exception because our God is not a god of confusion. Even his explanation sounds ridiculous and I’m familiar with it because I grew up catholic so it was normal to me at one time but if you have to jump through so many hoops to make it make sense than there is a problem there. The Lord hears our prayers and answers them without saints or Mary asking for us. It is fully biblical. Paul often said that other people pray for him. That is intercession prayer. Why did Paul say to others to pray for him? Was he thinking that Hod will not hear if only he prayed? Ofc not! Orthodox Church is fully biblical Church. Orthodox Church ua not a relligion, it is walking with Christ. Let me start off by saying I like Mar Mari and have respect for him, BUT I totally disagree with him on this. You are not supposed to pray to the dead, period. I believe the intersession from brethren that Paul mentions, is meaning having your brothers and sisters in Christ who are still alive pray for you on your behalf. I stopped the video within a few minutes, once he was trying to say it's okay to "go to the saints" for intersession. No, this is not a biblical teaching, the Bible teaches not to seek the dead for guidance and that means whether they were a man or woman of God or not, you don't do it! Jesus nor his disciples ever taught to go to the saints. These are only "saints" (vessels used by God) that are recognized by the Catholic Church, do you know how many other vessels God used while they were here on Earth and could you imagine us praying to all of them for "intersession" instead of God, that's seeking the dead which is actually part of witchcraft. So please show me in the Bible where it says that you can pray to the dead instead of Jesus and I'll reconsider my opinion, bcuz you won't find it in the Holy scriptures! Jesus Christ (100% man/100% God) is the only mediator between us and God the Almighty Holy Father (the Holy Creator, that we'd be separated from without having Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, through God's grace)! When you're still a sinner and haven't accepted Jesus as your Lord yet, you're supposed to come as you are, repent and ask Jesus for forgiveness and to be your Lord and Savior, BUT Mar Mari is saying you can't ask Jesus for forgiveness if you're a sinner (BLASPHEMY), that you have to have an intercessor who's already in heaven go to Jesus for you, bcuz they can't sin anymore since they're in heaven now (BLASPHEMY), whaaat, I've never heard that before and never read that in the Bible, not ever! That makes absolutely no sense! This is VERY non-biblical Mar Mari..... You will read some comments from faithful that can't accept this teaching in whole and I think I can help. I was also taught that Jesus can do all things for those who believe in him. The instruction that we need intercession isn't part of my upbringing because Jesus loves and love doesn't ignore those that are sorry and need forgiveness and love in return. I have used scriptures and prayer to help another in a time of spiritual crisis and they were comforted. I would not say I was an intercessor because the word of God was already there for them and so was his love. Isn't it written that where two or three are gathered in My Name there I am in their midst.

I need to be very careful when i listen to any message how impressive it may be....only the word of God will keep you in the right path.... This is error. A delusion. We go directly to God, not to the saints when we sin, in order to be forgiven from our sins. We say as Jesus taught us: " 12 and forgive us (Father) our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors" (Matthew 6:12). Going to dead saints is very dangerous. We could have contact with evil spirits who disguise as saints.

The assembly of saints (in heaven) being a part of the universal church. So quote defines church structure (heaven and earth) as well as church hierarchy. We do pray for each other in our congregations so why not within the universal church…?

Under the Old Covenant things were severely broken, we had no choice but to pray to saints because we had no other way of getting through to God Our Father. We also needed the saints to pray for us for the same reason. We had a major disconnect between God and us. Now under the New Covenant we can pray to Him directly. Here is the main reason. John 14 5Thomas said to him, “Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?” 6Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father EXCEPT through me. 7If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” For us to have a direct connection to our Father in heaven Christ suffered and died in agony. Why would anyone continue praying to saints when he said the only way now is through Him. It seems he died for nothing if we go back to the old covenant.

This teaching about not being able to come to God because of sin is not biblical. We can come to God because of the sacrifice of Jesus who makes us righteous before God. Bishop I have huge respect for you but I have to disagree on this one. We can go to Jesus as a sinner because he cleared our debt, all we have to do is repent and go straight to Him. When Christ died the curtain in the temple that represented the division between God and man tore in half because now there is no division not even sin. Under the Old Covenant we had to pray to saints because there was a huge divide between God and man, under the New Covenant there is no divide we have a direct connection between God and man, our New Covenant Jesus Christ. I don’t understand how some can go by scripture with one subject and say do as the Bible says and don’t add to it and than stray away from scripture on another subject and say it’s ok. The rule applies to all things. He also said that pets are not in heaven but instead of just giving his opinion and saying it’s his opinion like most preachers, pastors and teachers say since there is not much in the subject in the Bible, he gave his opinion like it was fact and didn’t back it up with much at all, I didn’t like that especially because God revealed to me personally that pets are in heaven, I’m not sure if it’s the same heaven we go to but they most definitely are not just gone forever and are in some kind of paradise from what I was shown. I don’t like when teachers, teach their opinions as fact when it’s not in the Bible, only the word of God is 100% truth.

False! I grew up catholic and all I did was pray rosary and believe in saints and asked them to intercede but than I actually read the Bible and seen how number 1. Scripture clearly warns against talking to the dead. Mary and saints are dead humans who also needed a savior just like everyone else. Our God is not a god of confusion and if there was an exception than he would have stated it which he didn’t except for the exception of Jesus because he was human and divine, he lived died and was resurrected to live again and God himself. Praying to saints for intercession is literally necromancy and if you can’t see that than I feel sorry for you. It was a hard habit to break but since my prayers are answered more and it’s because I am obedient to scripture and don’t allow opinions and traditions of man to sway me even though I was close to those traditions like the rosary, once I read the Bible warning me against repetitive prayer, talking to the dead and saying the only way to the Father is through the son and so on with zero mention of praying to anyone else, I cut it off. I would much rather be safe than sorry and it’s ridiculous to think you need to ask for intercession from someone else for God to answer your prayer when the Lord clearly says he is eager to answer our prayers and wants us to ask him for help in all things. Asking other humans to pray for you and asking dead people are totally different. I don’t understand how bishop can claim “don’t stray from the word of God” on so many subjects but bend to his own thoughts and opinions on others.
