The fact the officers approached aggressively about you being there makes me think they didn't want to be filmed. I wonder if the one officer had his body camera on as is required by the AG Office. Either way, despite some people saying you were in the wrong, you weren't. Keep up the good work!

Thanks yea, brick cops don’t like me for whatever reason! Not all of them most of them are cool, & personally friends of mine. But these guys weren’t into me. Not sure why. But tried to talk to the one officer after and we were having a civil private conversation until his buddies jumped in and just starting insulting my career and personal life for whatever reason. Very unprofessional

That angers me the way those police officers did. First of all those police officers should be disciplined and should have asked nicely and second of all those police officers should have never had the knife opened the way they did and approached you in a threatening manner. I do respect police officers but this situation should’ve been handled differently

Don’t think he meant it in a threatening manner, but he didn’t need to get in my face, and then the knife woulda never been close to me. I backed up when he said to and then he just kept saying to move back. If he tripped over a branch and fell into me who knows what woulda happened and that’s why they shouldn’t have approached me and coulda easily talked a safe distance away.

More tyrant cops. After years of putting up with cops like that my local fire department gave me a used fire coat then later on a fire photographer ID card. Now the cops act like I am their friend.

But…. Was he a municipal, county, state or federal LEO? His unprofessional behavior and conduct made me initially think he was the crossing guard / mall cop of “Bum Town”. He could also have been confused with one of the meth lab cookers that likely lives and works out of his tent.

It was reported that he was not on duty in a law enforcement capacity. He was working his side job at the time….. Mayor and Fire Warden of BumTown NJ! Not that I advocate hindering any lawful action, but this would be an ideal situation to break out the ‘ol UAS with remote controllable “load dropping device” (aka “drone fishing”). You could have assisted the Mayor fight that raging blaze with water balloons. 🎈 Precision is NOT required or encouraged. 😂

If you’re not law enforcement then you shouldn’t be there. Simple as that. I know it’s not the popular opinion but the officers were doing what they’re supposed be doing. There are reasons for everything. Just because you feel your reasons were justified doesn’t necessarily mean they are. Police tell you to do something. You do it.

lol you don’t understand this wasn’t a law enforcement scene it was an active brush fire. Police aren’t needed, many towns & city’s deal with minor brush fires like these with no cops at all. You saying police are never wrong is showing the level of real world experience you have.
