​@@tommycat1993, I'd say some, but in the end, it's still a katana mind you. The pommel of the ww2 variant harkens back to the Tachi and like the Tachi, this sword is designed to be worn with the blade face down. The handguard of the sword is also much smaller and right under it on the handle, some of the swords have a release button: meaning the ww2 variant has a mechanical lock mechanism that makes the sword locked to the scabbard. I think it's important to point out that the sword during ww2 is mass-produced with "modern" methods, as the sword, although functional, was more of a symbol rather than the main weapon. I can't say if there are any differences in curvature or length though, but I think I got some important points across.

I played rugby (require more balls than US football), and re game injuries between player were a comon things. I Hard broken finger, I had broken a nose and pretty much everyone was coming on the field graced with a few pre-match bruises. DOnt know any of you are making such a bog deal out of it. Even as a swimming coach, you bet your ass none of my swimmers were going in the water without a big red hand mark on their back. And you bet they were asking for it.
