We had pantry moths several years ago. I got traps also. The exterminator gave me a few points, as follows Put trap by outside door closest to pantry If you have dog food stored in pantry, put in a sealed container BUT FREEZE THE ENTIRE BAG FOR A FEW DAYS BEFORE YOU PUT IN PANTRY CONTAINER. (This is where moths can live, as they arrive I. Packages that become infected Freezing dry goods as you bring them into house (only for a day) will help I have done this, and it worked As a footnote, I caught more moths by our kitchen sliding door than anywhere else

An old friend of mine battled pantry moths, she purchased something from a store and didn’t realize it was contaminated with pantry moths until it was too late ☹️. After she shared her experience with me I did the same thing you are doing right now.

I'm so sorry you had pantry moths. I had them in my pantry a few years ago, and what a pain it was. I kept the pantry empty for over a month to ensure they were gone.

I'm amazed at how nice your dining room table turned out. Wonderful job. I so enjoy your honest and intentional videos. We think so much alike. I like to fix things rather than put them in a landfill. Your house is unique and very lovely. If you ever watch the younger Influencers, their houses have similar if not identical items. I guess they are trendy. You have a great sense of style that's all your own. You really are my favorite channel.

I have tried bay leaves before it did not do anything. Maybe to prevent but not to get rid of them.

Keep an out out for weevils in the boxed pasta. Then can invade your kitchen also. I bought home some box pasta and I noticed weevils in the grocery bag they took off into the table and then multiples . Never bring home boxed pasta try to buy sealed packages

Personally, I would probably still decant the pasta and even pitch it if there is no inner liner. Love the new airtight containers!

I read if you put your flour or anything in the freezer when you get it it'll kill of any moth larvae

Sophia, ALL flours, cornmeal, etc., put in the freezer for 48 hrs in their original packaging, and then you can re-container as you wish. If there are any moth larvae in the grain, they’ll be killed.

I had moths a few years ago. It´s disgusting and also crazy how they get into things that are sealed. Since I put everything into containers there was never an issue with moths again. Sometimes they are already in the food when we buy it. So now I always make sure that the things are moth free.

You can use bay leaves to repel bugs, my late mother-in-law gave me that hint when I opened a crock I use to store sugar and flour and found it crawling with weevils, I've never had any issue with bugs since I started sprinkling bay leaves around food storage areas.

Wow - I never heard of pantry moths before - now I know they had them in England way back when I visited and I always heard my mum checking for them in her bed linens and blankets but I figured that today with all the polyester blends etc that they just didn't come around anymore...you learn something new everyday...thanx for this

Try freezing, for 24 hours, any flour & pancake mix when you bring it home. This should kill any moth eggs.

I have a Xmas tree too that is not flicked but it is frosted. I love it only thing is that it’s a prelit tree and now none of the lights work. What a pain in the butt that is. It is about 10 years old 🥴

I have been looking at the restore product for small scratches in kitchen cupboards, so you can imagine my excitement when I saw you using that product and your beautiful results,,, Would you recommend for cupboards. Oh gosh,I just went through the same thing,but with something called flour mites? Had never heard of them before,,yuck, I just threw everything away.I am also ordering sealed containers,as everything is going in there from now on. I could not believe they were in sealed,never opened products. A tupperware closed canister,a hard plastic sealed container,, I need a bigger freezer,so I can just put everything in there for a few days before putting in the sealed containers. It just made me feel so icky.

They re not the same type of moths. Pantry moths are different from the moths that poke holes in sweaters. I did not even know that. Naftalyn balls should be nowhere near food or pets.
