@@cassie1796 medical school is not about math unless you go into cardiology or something… medical school is biological sciences heavy. He mentioned the most he has done with math in medical school is add and subtract. It makes sense. Everything can be done by computer 100x faster than we can do why add that much more to something already heavy in other areas.

None at all lol 😂 just read the pre requisites some take stats instead of calc and some require both just read the pre requisites... I think the main reason they require I think is because of the MCAT it requires it, so they just ask and also to make sure you can read charts and actually be competent in math lol 😂 but I know someone who’s in 3rd or 2nd year and he’s said he has not touched any advanced math besides adding and subtracting... I hate math so I understand your thought process too 🤬

Thanks for the video! Quick question though.... Does general biology include the basic course + lab or can they be replaced with other Bio classes like Microbiology + Lab... Anatomy&Physiology with Lab? Not for MCAT but for application requirements. Thaaaaaank you!

Florida Life I would also like to know. As am a Bio major and only have to take Bio 1. Haven’t taken Bio 2 because I took Botany and Zoology and other Bios. So I would also like to know if Bio 2 is necessary

@@Wafflemakerguy19 depends on the school some of them will take your botany and zoology courses so I would email the school(S) and find out if you should take the other bio. But for higher level courses like microbiology you most likely have to take bio 2

Question: If I take a semester of biostatistics (listed as Bio 320 at my school) does that meet the requirement for statistics? Or do I have to take a designated statistics class?

Also a similar question: is intro to neuroscience a sufficient course to substitute for psychology? Intro to neuroscience is classified as “neuro 170” at my school

@@PAPERandPENCILguy that’s just main taken down as a psychology course. Lots of schools have overlapping of the names and also have different names for stuff but that sounds like a psychology class and too answer your stats questions depends on the school some well say yea others well say nope! Just email the schools you are interested in attending and just ask them... there is a website called the AAMC I think that says all the pre requisites for Medical Schools and what courses can over lap and see if like bio stats covers stats.

i'm trying to get MCAT without going to college. if medical school won't teach me, i'll steal it for myself college or no college. i can 3d print most of my lab equipment, and i have a basic understanding of spectroscopy. once i conquer mcat, i'm going to make a website to prep students for medical school

If you have AP credits in some of these things from highschool (except from the important chemistry and bio classes), do we have to redo the college course in university?

No it depends on the school some take the credit and others say you have to take it in university. Some schools are generous with it and say we accept your credit but may want you to just take a basic bio to cover it all over again and get a refresh. Just really depends on the school.

Yes, you will have to retake those. There is no way that you will get the same depth of knowledge and rigor from a high school AP class, that you would get from an actual college course.
