Had this approach for a 3cm petroclival meningioma. He was only able to get a portion out this way and he severed my 6th cranial nerve. Minimally invasive compared to a craniotomy yes, but still invasive and a difficult recovery. Getting the nasal packing removed way brutal. And the 5 inch fascia graft removed from my thigh for a nasal flap was very painful and developed a hematoma and major scar that still experiencing random nerve pain years later.

@itsallanillusion4827 I'm sorry to hear of your experience, that is definitely not the norm. Although complications are always possible, a severed nerve would be extremely rare at high volume skull base centers. I am not sure where you had your procedure, but choosing the right team of surgeons, rhinologist and neurosurgeon, can have a large impact on how complete your resection is without suffering from complications.
