Thanks for showing the good and bad. Looks like y'all had fun either way lol.

Whoops! I'm a big guy too and have always worried about flipping it in that high seat position. I kept my seat in the lower position on my Moken 12.5V2 until I got more comfortable with it. You're going to love that kayak once you get used to it. Tight lines!
@MaxxBassin3 жыл бұрын
Maybe I’ll give the lower seat position a try next time and see if it makes a difference lol so far it’s been a great kayak for sure! Thanks for the view!!

Flipped mine today, had watched the KZbin videos about turning it back over, and getting back on. Worked like a charm.

Good to hear you got back on. Hopefully you didn’t lose anything.

@@MaxxBassin lost a spin rod, but it was old and dogs chewed the cork off it, and I list my earbuds, so safety pin and new rod.

I know at the time you hated this happening, but for some reason-that is the fun of kayak fishing! All of the shenanigans which makes for great campfire stories later. (As a woman I can say that, as a man I am sure that pride will not allow for it. ;) )

I love the two camera work...thats really a nice touch...I have that moken...it is really 35 inches wide....I cant imagine how he managed to flip it....mine sits on the water like its velcroed to it....anyway... pointers....never reach or lean over the side....for ANYTHING....always have gear strapped or stowed...the flip comes at most unexpected time. Keep your footpegs so there is a little bit bend in the knee...when you turn you upper body that keeps your lower body pinned in the seat. Great to see he had a good PFD...thats vital. I enjoyed your teamwork on the video.

Thanks for the view! Glad you liked the video and we appreciate the advice!! Hopefully with a little more seat time he’ll get the hang of it...until then, enjoy the rollovers! lol

Had 2 4lb. catfish that were attempting to escape, reached too far in an attempt to catch them. It was a hot day, so the unexpected swim was nice.

the feelfree moken is definitely a skinnier kayak. The quick turn around definitely got ya good. I watched videos on how to re enter a sit on top kayak just incase this happens. Gonna practice purposely flipping my kayak just to re enter it with not fishing rods and gear on board this year. take care guys!

It’s 33 inches so not super skinny. That was only my 2nd time in a kayak, and 1st time fishing in one. That was definitely my fault lol. I can’t blame it on the kayak because I’m not exactly graceful on land.

Mannnn I just got this yak the 10 v2 I love it so far even though I’ve been in it twice I’m a chunky guy forsure and I’m not a stable person it’s hard to get in and out for me but within 2 mins of being in it and figuring it out I had it upside down lol and I had to walk it back to shore to get in again but I guess like a bike I’ve gotta learn

Yeah I love it! There is definitely a learning curve to kayak fishing lol

@@MaxxBassin haha it really is but I do have a back problem so getting in is decent but getting out is really hard on me it’s to the point where I’m scared to be out by myself and not able to do anything or get myself in a situation where I need help but the yak community is awesome

How much do you weigh? Seat was in the top position?
@MaxxBassin3 жыл бұрын
I’m about 260 and yeah the seat was in top position. It’s a really stable kayak, I don’t think I would have flipped if my rods hadn’t been tethered down.
