Sir I have purchased second hand harmonium from a shop, there is some problem with third octave keys like G sharp,a sharp and b flat, there sound very low , by putting hard bellow pressure its generate air only,shopkeeper refused to solute the problem, plz help....

Pre-tuning is always done without valves (=leathers).

dear Diatonix2, do you know how these reeds manufactures manufacture "Reed Block" & "Reed Tongue" with great perfection & with accuracy? Do you know what type of machinery they use to produce these reeds? i personally dont believe that these reeds manufactures are using LASER CUTTING MACHINE because its highly expensive, and "as there is very limited profit in Reeds manufacturing business", so obviously they are using some old style manufacturing machinery's

Me too. I'm thinking of getting an aquarium pump, but I don't know the air pressure or volume. Perhaps I'll take a reed into the shop. =) Bruce Thomson in New Zealand.

The usual method is to get a bellows from a scrap accordion and put some ends on it. You can make it hand operated or build it into a table or desk and make it foot operated. You can probably find some examples on KZbin.
