21:34 This is what I felt when my father passed unexpectedly. I was a Daddy’s girl, through and through. There was no warning, no time to prepare and other than regular ailments, he wasn’t even sick, not even a cold. I was the last of us children to speak with him and a few hours later, he passed from a heart attack. I never knew I could experience that much pain and still live. At one point, I didn’t want to go on. But God. That’s the only thing I can attribute it to. My neighbors probably think I’m crazy, but I would go from screaming and crying to forcing myself to listen to praise music, watching sermons and reading my Bible. When I would get to a dark place, I would stream a sermon and put the volume as high as it could go, so I could hear another voice speaking life into my home. I now understand how people can become depressed unto unaliving themselves. If I didn’t have a prior relationship with God, courtesy of my parents, I honestly believe I would not have made it. I’m still working through my grief, but I’ve come so far and I want everyone to know there is life on the other side of pain. ❤

This is sooooo relatable. The pain of grief is like nothing else I’ve ever experienced. I lost my mom in 2021 and she and I were very close. It was unexpected, as well. Literally saw her the evening before and the next morning she was gone. It is ROUGH. Especially with being a new mom myself. It’s been almost three years and I still have my down days from time to time, but I refuse to stay down! I let the Bible app read to me and I’ll play sermons and other encouragements on the TV for the same reason you said-so life is spoken into me and my home.

Brother Ron. Thank you!! It is creepy our life story is almost exactly the same from pastoring, family strife, mentors, One day I hope to meet and thank you, I survived on watching your preaching and testimony. Only the Lord kept me. Rejoice not against me oh mine enemy, when I fall I shall rise again.

Hi y'all. I just want to let you know that your story has helped me realize so much about myself. I never knew things from our childhood could affect us in such ways in our adult lives. For almost 40 years, I was a mess. I've been reading the Bible and praying for two years and God has been so faithful. He has filled the void in my life. Thank you for what you do. God bless the both of you

😇🥰 One of the first things I remember telling my therapist is that my soul hurts I had no idea where that came from but it's nice that you endorse that it's how we are felling when we are in such pain. What I like is that you beleived in what you were preaching that it was real and worked. I also like when you said you gave Hope all you had and you didn't have any left for a 2nd round or 2nd Mrs. Carpenter

God can cover and deliver us from anything. This is such a bittersweet testimony. The accountability & transparency. Pain & persevering through the darkest times in life isn't easy. But God🙌🏾 he'll shine his light of love, grace, & mercy. Ain't nothing like the love of God through Jesus amen 🙏🏾

Pastor Ron I Completely Understand because I’ve been there also! My husband was a very Bad alcoholic and I was praying So Hard for him and yet it took TEN YEARS for him to get saved, after I got a prophetic word from God!! I Understand the pain you’re talking about!! My husband wanted to play Russian roulette and he was holding our 22 pistol and pointed it towards me and pulled the trigger!! And I Still Loved This Man!! We’ve been married 49 years this March!! I thought I was gonna physically Die from the emotional PAIN, because he abused me, never physically, but emotionally and I Knew God was ALL I HAD, yet I couldn’t hang on any longer!! It was during this period that he got saved and instead of being Happy I was like, but WHY NOW, God!!! It was in God’s Perfect Timing, yet it wasn’t Mine!! Somehow we made it and God has been The Glue that’s kept us together!! We’re gonna make it to, at least, 51 years of marriage!! We beat all the statistics and shut up (no disrespect intended) our family!! So, yes I was pregnant and 17 years old…he was 18, so we were kids having a kid, and neither of us knew Jesus at this point. This is just to show that once you accept Jesus, He can fix a marriage or Any Other Problem!! And like I said, the PAIN, was THE WORST and I Really thought I would die from this kinda PAIN…I Wanted To Die!! God IS BIGGER THAN ANY PROBLEMS we have!! I truly hope this Helps SOMEONE!!! Love ❤️ Hugs 🫂 and Prayers 🙏 from GA!!!

I appreciate the raw truth of your story/journey. Currently going through unbelievable circumstances with my marriage hoping and praying God would intervene. I can relate to the excruciating pain of betrayal. Thank you for sharing your testimony and keeping it raw and real. Even though God is not restoring/saving my marriage and all hope is gone I'm still inspired by Hope's book and Ron's raw truth of his pain and struggles that I can so relate with.... hanging on to my mustard seed.

Definitely relate to God carrying me through a very difficult season and providing grace day by day until I came out of that painful season. Betrayal is one of the worse feelings to go through. And having people watch you deal with it is even harder. Pastor Ron explaining the tormenting pain took me back to those feelings and brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for your transparency and sharing your story. If you are going through a difficult season lean on God and cast your cares on Him. Give Him your burdens and take up His yoke. God bless ❤

As a member of Redemption at the time "the bomb went off" and now - I saw restoration of trust when someone from my "latino" people group was part of that potential division who weeks before that divisive action - I sat across the table from him and got wierd vibes. (lol) to then for me to a be a part of the ordination service of several Latino folks spoke VOLUMES to me about Pastor Ron's heart of trust and restoration. First was with Pastor Hope but a spouse relationship is between the spouses but a "trust" again toward a people group who may have caused damage spoke volumes to me. Where so many give up on a people group for less you did not! THANK YOU!! love you Pastors

I am extremely blessed Pastor Ron & Hope are my pastors in San Jose. I listened to this podcast and am so happy you both found reconcilation through the power of the holy spirit. What the enemy meant for evil God will turn into good. I was married 16 years and we had 2 sons. We were not serving the lord and the enemy brought a lady who would help him start his new business because we had exhausted our savings. I had moved back to California during this time and he stayed in Hawaii. He was convinced this was the best solution for him to remain in Hawaii. The lady took full advantage of him and convinced him to not return to me. I was totally devastated and felt hopeless because I didn't want to raise 2 sons alone. By the grace of God I was introduced to a boss who was a christian and he invited me to his church with his family. That very day I heard the voice of God clearly and he said he would take care of me. I gave my life to the lord and things got better and I was able to support my sons. The lord told me to teach them to love and serve him. So I brought them to a youth bible studies weekly and they grew spiritually and came to know the Lord as their heavenly father who would never abandon them. God gets all the glory. When we submit our whole heart & mind to him he will work all things for good. All glory to God. He gave me beauty for ashes.

Pastors Ron and Hope, I was sitting at Bishop McClendons Church in Gardena California back in 2013 or 2014 and before one of His Services, He did not use Your names but He mentioned how a Very Popular and Wonderful Husband and Wife Ministry in South Carolina need our Prayers right now over Their lives. We prayed and later on I found out it was about Your Marriage. May I just say, You are Loved around the world and You both are the most amazing Example of GOD Himself and how REAL HE is, especially for all those doubters out there. Thank You for sharing this Most Beautiful Story as hard as it was. ❤️🙌☝️
