Love time lapse, particularly with perfect music! But, time lapse glosses over the hours of careful planning and prep that goes into making lifts like yours look smooth and easy. Strong work, Jimmy.

I'm guessing that the projecting rebar means there will be some additional concrete work to provide flares at the ends of the culvert. Also found it curious that they only added sealant at the top of the joint. Still, job well done overall.
@ToTheTopCrane5 жыл бұрын
It does indeed. There will be poured in place wing walls. While I was swung around to get the next piece, they put sealant on the mating surface of the piece in the ditch. Many thanks for watching! 🙂

It is interesting how there was a slab there. Do you know how think the slab was? and how they attached the culvert to the slab?
@als85185 жыл бұрын
that looked like a slab, could have been compacted stone dust or something though.
@ToTheTopCrane5 жыл бұрын
Is was a slab put in place by the contractor. It is much easier to assemble the pieces on a flat surface. I'm not sure of the thickness. I'm also not sure how the pieces are anchored, if at all. I do know there will be poured in place wing walls on each end of the culvert. I may run by the jobsite this week and record some after footage. Many thanks for watching! 🙂

If you could, try to keep comments on the same comment thread. As in... if you comment, then someone else comments, go back and comment on their comment. If you comment multiple times on just the video comment thread, it randomly throws your comments in the video comments section. I love the interaction. It just makes it all easier to follow if you keep the comment threads together. 🙂
