Wrapping paper is recyclable, so long as it isn’t foil based or has glitter on :) Fabric wrapping is very popular in some Asian cultures I believe. Well done on your overlocking!

If you scrunch paper and it stays scrunched, it is recyclable. If you scrunch it and ot opens up, that means it has plastic or foil in and therfore goes into general waste witch is in turn used to produce power and only goes to landfill if that place is closed. Fabric would defintly end up in landfill at the end of it's life
