It looks like the "main" frame of the bike is supporting the rear rack mount and not the sub frame or am I blind?

Yup, looks like its mounted to the frame in the same spot as the subframe.

Installed these a month ago on my 2016TW… thought they might mess with my daughter’s legs when riding two up, but nope, she doesn’t even notice them!

Is there a comprehensive list of known racks it does/doesn't fit? I have a happy trails rear luggage rack and I am interested in these

Do you know if these will fit with a Cyclerack rear rack installed?

Unfortunately we don’t think they will. By the pictures the clearances look pretty tight. We have a rear rack for the TW that works perfectly along side these. You can also add our Expansion Plate to increase your loading area. Check out the TW product listing at www.pmracks.com. Thank you!

Will these fit with the factory rear rack?

The factory rear rack isn't a good choice. It isn't connected to the frame at all, it just sits on the fender. It's rated at 8 pounds I believe
