So many haters!?! I found Precision Sails quote to include options for light duty sails for less than, as well as better quality for FAR more than local sail makers quotes. The communication has been prompt, personal, but still professional. If they stand behind their work to the degree that they will take sails back, what does anyone stand to loose!?! To make negative comments for sharing the excitement of new sails; the service of their supplier, or to say that in some way this is paid endorsement are the words of KZbin (or credit card) captain. I still have a few miles left in my dirty old sails, but when the time comes the opinion of people like Ben, Alie, the crew of Delos, Nutshell, Soulianis, Nahoa, and Matt & Jessica of MJ sailing is going to go a long way! Thanks you.

I saw a thread where a guy made a gate out of an aluminum piece of carpet tack threshold type strip from the home center and tapped and screwed it to the gate opening, idk looked pretty good for a 20 dollar diy job.

Great video... Feel for poor Bruce! Will he get used to it over time? How has he adjusted to boat life?
@BreakingWavesSailing3 жыл бұрын
he’s generally pretty good with boat life, but he’ll probably always be a bit sucky when the seas get nasty - but he survives!

What is the temperature of your lube oil after your engine has run under load for a while. Most engines don't really require an oil cooler and you may be able to bypass it completely. If you do this monitor your oil temp. carefully. It should run 230 to 260 df.

Excellent video but regarding the sails I was looking for the PS company and I found very bad comments on internet pages about sailboats. The sails are made in china by another company. Many people complain about their quality and poor design. This is reflected in the price of the sails. I personally decided to buy sails from local sail makers.

If you would be interested in a Monitor self steering windvane, I have a brand new one with the swing gate, opens to the swim platform and an E-rudder (emergency rudder). It's combined retail is $11,000 US but I could give 70% discount because I'm a chill local on the Sunshine Coast.

I am curious have you ever seen one up close or sailed one? What are you making this assessment on? Almost all of our favourite YT channels that have crossed many oceans have Precision Sails on their boat.. so.. they must be good enough for something?
@BreakingWavesSailing2 жыл бұрын
I’ll also add that we don’t have a lot of experience with sails to be an authority on this topic but the material and construction quality of the sails seem very high quality to us… just our opinion!

@@BreakingWavesSailing I bought racing sails from them and I had so many issues that I returned . I been sailing and racing for over 25 years.
