Hello there, really nice upgrade you did on the MF70, actually there is not much left from the original =)). I really liked how you managed to do the machining with what you had in house. Best wishes !

I've been looking at a benchtop mills lately I want to make watch cases. I keep seeing this one and just am not sure. I think I need something that can remove stainless steel fairly easily. But this Is actually a nice machines with your modifications and I was wondering if I should get a lathe or mill and your setup with the rotating chuck was slick, I figured I could use a rotary table to make round things but that was nice. I was also wondering if I could make a mill from a drill press since I'm not doing huge work I think it's strong enough. You answered a lot of my questions

Hello my friend. can you tell me if you made any modifications to insert thrust bearings in the KT70 table? I'm wondering whether to mill the knob or drill the plastic (in the top of the table)?

You are making great video. Ilook forward to see what you will make with the MF70. Where can i buy the new motor? Thanks Simon

Could you somehow attach a stronger motor to it? I wonder if you could just cut the top off and put something taller in. I think it would be a super machine.
@zhadlun Жыл бұрын
Yes, it’s possible to attach stronger motor. But you need to understand that a body of machine made of aluminum. If motor will be much stronger, it will destroy machine itself.

Am interested in your mods. Can you give sources and part numbers for parts used? It would be very helpful. Thanks for your vids. Awesome work.

What's exactly the problem to mill on a drill press?
@zhadlun5 ай бұрын
Rigidity first of all, then not so easy to measure on Z axis.
@voidfalse5 ай бұрын
@@zhadlun So basically, if you replace the hollow column with a solid steel rod, replace the drill chuck with a collect chuck and add support to the moving platform, you get a mill, correct?
@zhadlun5 ай бұрын
@@voidfalse you still need a table. But in general it's possible this way.
