This is how a review should be done! Very informative. Outstanding work.

Great test and analysis Simon! I currently play Qi10 core head and this was the exact comparison I was hoping to see!

Great review exactly what I wanted to see with the new driver. I recently tried the new Qi35 core with the weights changed from to back and like you I found the standard weight setting better. Great insightful videos as always!

Last year, I picked up a Qi10 max to check out the whole 10k moi hoopla. I will admit, it was a very straight driver, but the spin was high and the distance wasn’t great (not bad, but not great). I did a fitting for a Qi35 Core model yesterday and played my first round with it today. The ball that floats up into the sky is no more. Much more penetrating ball flight and much better spin from those low-in-the-face shots. Granted, I went from max to core, but the difference was still pretty significant for me.

You’re spot on. They have made a very big improvement this year in our opinion

I like how your heel and toe are still way more middle than most mid handicappers :)

Would like to see Ping g440 vs g430, both max and LST. Real bonus would be including g425 max too since it still relevant in being sold new currently.
@Precision_Golf12 күн бұрын
It will take us a bit of time to film all the comparisons but we will try to include some older models. Ping are out if G425 now so any new ones are residual stock that retailers have

The 35 core model weight arrangement is similar to the mini which I really like.

It is a good head and the weight positioning does add versatility

I find that on all of the taylormade drivers since stealth plus require weight tuning. Right now im gaming the qi10 ls and i had to increase the rear weight to 11 grams to make the face more stable and gained more distance because of the increased spin. Id love to see you test the core model with different weight settings to really optomize the driver more.

Once we get the weight packs in we can do just this

Informative comparison, thanks. When TM went from Stealth2 to Qi10, they suggested lofting up on the LS model. I started with a 9deg Qi10LS and found better performance with the 10.5deg turned down to 9.75deg, which would have usually been too much loft for me. Do you think Qi35LS is as low launch as Qi10LS or more like stealth2? Thanks
@Precision_Golf18 күн бұрын
The Qi35 LS is solid and low spin but not necessarily lower launch than Qi10 LS. Definitely safer for spin on a toe strike though

In general what would happen if you even out the weights (8 front / 8 back)? It’s always bias either front or back weighted. Just curious as to cause and effect if the CG was moved more towards the middle.
@Precision_Golf16 күн бұрын
It does make the weighting less pronounced so means the spin is less affected but also the forgiveness - hence a biased weighting means you maximise either forgiveness or keep spin down as much as possible to making it a “longest” or “most forgiving” pair of options

Did you like the cobra dark speed or qi35 better
@Precision_Golf18 күн бұрын
Interesting - I think Qi35 is a little more consistent for spin but Darkspeed had a really hot one in there for the right player that made it unbearable but just a little less predictable
@hbyrdut18 күн бұрын
Have you seen an increase in club speed with the QI35 LS? I saw anywhere from 2 to 4 mph increase on Trackman but I didn't see an increase in ball speed so it could have been misreads
@Precision_Golf18 күн бұрын
The way it reads the heads can include tolerances so the ball speed is sometimes the most reliable gauge in performance.

I was low & left almost every shot w/ the QI35 core. Much prefer the QI10 core.

Whilst we may feel the new model is a better head there will always be instances where the older model suits someone more so you did the right thing testing them rather than just buying the new one!

Would it not be better to show the relevance for golfers who would contemplate these drivers, namely players with a much slower club head speed, ie 95mph
@ryanthorp766219 күн бұрын
Nick, I have just been fitted into this exact head for the new QI35, Coming from a Stealth 2 core. I myself am a 112-114 club speed player so found this info completely relevant. Just because someone has a fast clubhead speed doesn't necessarily mean they require the LS heads, it's also down to delivery conditions. What Simon is showing is the consistency of spin across the face, this will be proportional throughout clubhead speeds. 👍🏻
@gregfierro545419 күн бұрын
You can also just go get fit yourself. There are so many different swing speeds and swings. It’s impossible to cater to everyone. There are also a bunch of KZbin videos with different swing speed reviews. They do their best and give great info
@nickmillar965118 күн бұрын
NOT many Pros play the LS They are playing the core or standard models
@Precision_Golf18 күн бұрын
The across face performance is slightly magnified at higher speeds due to greater deflection on off centre hits but the relevance of the performance is there for all club speeds. The exact gains will vary player to player though.

@@ryanthorp7662how many yards did you win with the qi35? I have the same head as you had, Stealth 2 and i have a lot of doubs, i have the club like new and it works perfectly for me but… everybody tries to win yards with the new models… is it worth the expense vs save money? Thank you!
