Great video 2019 and still relevant. I was worried that activating second remote would make the 1st remote not work...called precision door and they assuaged my fears...This will allow you to add a second remote without affecting the original remote at all. Thanks!

I have an old Genie Intellicode Medalion series garage door opener. The tomb style remotes don't work very well anymore (15 yrs old). So I purchased new Genie remotes unfortunately the instructions that come with the new remote are useless as far as reprogramming an older garage door opener. Thanks for this video because with the information you gave I was able to do it. The Genie website is useless for older model items and that is very frustrating.

The trick for me was to be relatively distant from the machine when pressing the button. it didn't work otherwise for some reason, but it works now!

OK, but how do you change the code that the opener requires from the remotes? A remote was stolen, so I need to clear the code it currently uses, have it use a different code, and then program the remotes as you have shown in this video. Thanks Or is it when I clear the code, the opener automatically creates a new random code for the remotes to use? So after clearing by holding down the button I think for 10 seconds. Then I can reprogram the remotes and i'm done?

I am a home renter and was recently given a new 3-button transmitter (Model: GITR-3, Product Code: 37517S) for our rental house's 2 door-garage. Though both receivers are Genie Intellicode, they are older models. Do you have any satisfactory instructions or tips for programming multiple receivers? Door 1 opens to Button 1 on the transmitter, Door 2 was programmed the exact same way via Button 2, but does not open. Thanks for any advice!
