*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

You can make this as easy or difficult as you like. I've been doing kettlebells since Covid so I tried a 40 lb and 30lb double kettlebell clean alternating sides with squat and then upped it to 40 and 50 lbs. I did 50 lb snatches and 70 lb jump deads. Just found your channel today while searching for a total body workout.. It happens to be 4th of july weekend and i'm dripping like bacon... great workout out. My only critique would be that for a total body I wouldn't mind seeing a little more chest and shoulder. Hi, on the first exercise or any any for that matter I’ve seen a few demonstrations showing that the elbow should not be tight against the ribs when in the shoulder? Is this right or wrong with reasons?
@PrecisionKettlebells3 жыл бұрын
In the rack? Ideally you want the ability tight to the body but in my opinion the forearm to be virtual holding the weight. Not lifting the elbows up and having the bells rest on top the shoulders. Does that make sense? Obviously you need to keep a safe position based on the size of the bell so the weight doesn’t pull you forward

I recently found your channel and, then today I just got my first kettlebell. I've been bodybuilding for 15+ years and have a muscular build sort of like you. Right now, in my life I'm trying to save gym time (currently doing Full Body 3x/week workouts) by replacing 1 or more weekly workouts with a kettlebell routine. Do you think I could maintain my muscle mass by doing that? What about if I switched fully to kettlebell workouts? Or is a hybrid approach better (kettlebell + barbell/dumbbell exercises)?
@PrecisionKettlebells2 жыл бұрын
Welcome to the channel! So based on what you told me, I see no problem shifting to more kb workouts. I only do these workouts as they are my business. You would definitely maintain muscle mass as long as your nutrition is dialed in. maybe you could shift to 3 kb workouts a week and 2 accessory bb workouts a week. Meaning chest presses, bicep curls tricep work. Stuff like that. To sum it up. What are you trying to achieve?
@dustyh23712 жыл бұрын
@@PrecisionKettlebells I'm trying to save time by not being down in my home gym for as long. I have my own business and 2 little kids, so I'm very busy. I love the feel of full-body workouts since I switched to them 2 years ago from the bro-splits. But I'm lifting for 1.25-1.75 hours, not including warmup & stretching routines. 2 years ago I also got a couple heavy jump ropes and have been doing that for my cardio between my full-body sessions. I loved the feel, but what I really like is doing timed circuits so I can be done faster.
@PrecisionKettlebells2 жыл бұрын
@@dustyh2371 this is the way to go. At least in my style of training… I coach the general public, in a studio that only uses kettlebells. I also come from a Bro-Split background. I also add in unconventional kettlebell workouts to get the bro pump. I try to incorporate everything. I bet if you test if for 2 weeks you’ll love it. And obviously love your time back.

How do you guys avoid having the bells on your snatch start to bruise the piss out of your forearms? I used bells before and love the concepts by my god two uses and I couldn’t take pain of the bruising? I’m guessing you’re just more controlled with your technique?
@PrecisionKettlebells2 жыл бұрын
Yeah. It’s all about meeting the bell on the forearm instead of banging the bell on the forearm. Pull the bell back by bending the elbow and push through the bell when it’s floating about forehead height. The bell will meet the forearm softly as you straighten and lockout over the shoulder
