Thank you for this. One question, I have perfect alignment but it feels like the belt is slipping on the drum at impact either running or walking. Is there a way to adjust tension on the drum or just tighten both sides?

William, I would use some silicone to knock down the friction

I have this exact issue with my Precor but have one question before I start this procedure. My belt is moving to the left, so I got that I should tighten the left bolt 1/4 turn and the belt should move to the right. Once it is centered, what is to keep the belt from continuing to the right versus staying centered? I’m other words, once the belt is centered, is any further adjustment required to make it stay where it is? Thanks for this very helpful video! Side note: I recently moved and the treadmill was disassembled and reassembled. It now feels tilted slightly to the left. I actually suspect the concrete floor it’s on isn’t level (it’s actually on a mat on the floor), but wonder is there a way to level the treadmill?

Great question, if the belt is moving to the left you do want to tighten the left side or the roller about a 1/4 turn. You want to do this while the treadmill is on and ruuning at about 4-6MPH so you can see it move. At this point the belt should move if it doesn't move to the right go ahead and tighten it more until you see it move. If you tighten too much and the belt goes to the far right just loosen the left side until the belt sits right in the middle. Having the treadmill running will let you see if and when it is centered. ---Leveling a Precor like this one is tough because Precor didn't put adjustable levelers on this model of treads. The best this to do here is use a piece of cardboard or thin sheet of wood

@@coloradocardio Thank you so much for the help! The belt is now tracking perfectly and while I see the leveling feet at the back, I’m not certain that’ll help as the floor is uneven. I think I’ll try moving it to a slightly different location in the basement where the floor is more level, failing that, I’ll get out the cardboard and plywood! Thanks again for your help; you really saved the day!

How do I change the board that doesn't work for me from this same?
@coloradocardio Жыл бұрын
Yes, 4 screws and remove cable when the treadmill is powered off

thanks for this...how do you know the belt is too tight?
@coloradocardio3 жыл бұрын
in the middle of the treadmill you should be able to only fit your hand in about 5 inches (its kind of a thing after you have done some many you know the right spot)

Safest bet without a proper stretch gauge is to tighten it until it no longer slips at 2.5-3mph doing a stomp test.

I have a Precor C956i. I’ve installed a new deck and a brand new belt and lubricated the belt. I also replaced front roller. My issue is that the belt is centered and only 2 1/2 3 inches left of the belt in the center and yet when I run the treadmill at 2 1/2 to 3 mph it starts thumping. Do you know what could cause that? Could it be the drive motor belt to loose? When I walk on it it does not seem to slip. But it makes it vibration and increases as I increase in miles per hour until I have to turn it off
@coloradocardio2 жыл бұрын
It is do to the "seam" in the belt when it is molded together where it overlaps and in thick in that spot. so the first few miles until that part in the new belt gets worn in. You will hear that thump thump thump and is normal
@hahahahagrin2 жыл бұрын
@@coloradocardio I know the seem can cause a sound as it goes over the roller, but this is more of a big vibration at 1-2 miles per hour, enough to cause the display to vibrate..and the 'grumbling' sound then goes away at the higher speeds (4+).

@@hahahahagrin OK I know what you are talking about and there is a bearing in the motor off balance which causes this, it's liveable if you dont run it at those speeds. If you need to replace it a new motor can be +500 or have someone local rebuild it for around $100
@hahahahagrin2 жыл бұрын
@@coloradocardio Thanks for being so responsive. The strangest thing, is that if I turn the power switch off after stopping the treadmill during the initial sound it makes 'gearing up to 3 mph', AND then TURN power back on, IT ACTUALLY doesn't make that sound again during that run cycle! What??!! Crazy. I've no clue how that is possible.
@christopher63342 жыл бұрын
Front roller could be bouncing around. Make sure it's tightened all the way down so it's against the frame then align the other side so it's straight. Then you would tighten the rear roller for the belt tension/center tracking.

Do you sell parts? Or, could you recommend where to get a part. We have a precor 811/835/885 treadmill. I watched one of your videos and was able to take out the deck. Unfortunately, I discovered the deck was already flipped and worn down. (It is used. Got it when a local university upgraded a workout facility) where would be a recommended place to purchase a new deck? Thank you!

You can try kamwayparts.com or gympart.com but we don't sell parts only refurbished equipment.

i have adjusted all 4 screws and this is not correcting…the belt is moving to the left side…but that left side is very tight and cannot be tightened…so to compensate i have loosened the right side…problem is still there??!! please let me know any other advice. TYIA
@coloradocardio2 жыл бұрын
So if you have tightened the belt to the point where it wont tighten anymore you need to loosen the other side. It is a trickey belt to get straight. There are 4 points 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom The belt might be stretched out now and will need to be replaced

i’m thinking this may be the case :/ thanks! that makes sense.

I would add treadmill lubricant to the running belt to maybe help smoothen out your runs. Is it your belt that stops running or the numbers dropping
