I absolutely love how despite this being a big Megatron V Optimus series, the most powerful character (without weird gimmicky stuff like super swords etc.) was Predaking. What makes it even better is the fact that if Megatron didn't betray Predaking, there is a VERY good chance that he could have won the war much sooner and far easier; Predaking was loyal to him. Predaking never even thought of betraying Megatron and I doubt he ever would have. Predaking didnt care about "ruling everything", he was the leader of his people and thats all he ever wanted to be. He referred to Megatron as his "Liege" which means King. There is a really good chance untill the destruction of his people, he didnt really see a big difference between himself and the Deceptecons as a whole. There is a good chance that he would have remained Loyal to Megatron for a really REALLY long time since megatron quite literally gave him (and his people) life, even if he thought himself stronger. Remember he doesnt care about ruling the Deceptecons or the Autobots, at MOST after the war is over and Cybertron is rebuilt he would just retire from his role of Megatrons soldier and dedicated himself to caring for his people.

My favorite part with Predaking was actually how he was so close to handing Megatron his own ass... till Starscream intervene. It is the only reason Megatron keeps him around. The last moment when Predaking was on screen was to exact revenge on Starscream. It is like watching large killer whales or elephants crush the trainers for all of the months or years of abuse. ^_^

I'm just surprised Starscream has survived for this long with Predaking around, who personally wants to RIP HIM APART for everything Starscream did to him. Then again, some of the times, it was a direct order for starscream to attend to Predaking, but in Predaking's perspective, he was just annoying to him and wouldn't leave him alone without being wounded in his Pride. I could go on, but this is probably enough to prove my point.

Not really... the Autobots killed what they thought to be mindless beasts that where only loyal to Megatron. It wasn't until after destroying Shockwave's lab that they discovered Predaking, and there for, predacons as a whole were actually sentient creatures. If Optimus had known that to begin with, I'm more then certain he would of tried to reason with Predaking every chance he got, and would of only considered killing if absolutely necessary. Meaning there'd be a decent chance that Magnus and Wheeljack wouldn't of destroyed the lab and all the Predacons because they'd know Optimus wouldn't want to kill a bunch of helpless creatures that had only just came into the world.

I believe that was also his first time fighting against the Predacon. Plus, Predaking being stronger is a given. It is equivalent to a human fighting against a dinosaur.
