I just received my Tri-fuel system from Grenergy this afternoon and connected it to my Natural Gas supply. This system works great! Tested running the RV A/C on Natural Gas as well as Propane on the system and the Predator 5000 pulled the load without problems on both. Very happy. You really can't go wrong with this system, if you put together all the parts for it and go through all the headaches that Grenergy has already gone through for you to ensure everything is right, you come out way ahead of the price curve just ordering the kit. The demand-regulator wheel mount is a particularly nice bit of engineering. Satisfied customer.

You are lucky. One of my needs is a generator that will run after one of our earthquakes when the gas lines are broken or the city just shuts them down to prevent fires. Propane tanks will work fine for me. Thanks for the comment though. You will give hope to people considering the upgrade.

@@albertsmedley3636 It's really just about having options. The ability to use NG, LPG, or Gasoline gives you choices. I've lived a few miles from the San Andreas faultline for over 25 years, through power outages, earthquakes and what have you, my NG supply has never been turned off. So am I lucky? Or is it that NG is pretty reliable? (Im thinking the latter, but YMMV) And if I can't run on NG, I just switch to Propane or gasoline.

@@ThomasHart59 I was born and brought up in California. Earthquakes are a way of life. Since the 6.0 in the Napa Valley, I have taken them seriously. That did knock out everything. I don't even pay attention to a 4.0 or less. I laugh when the news reports anything less. But we also get fires that can cause shutdowns of everything. I'm happy for you. I also live in a condo with an HOA. I doubt I could get approval for a natural gas connection. They probably would balk at Propane tanks but I won't tell them. They are pretty screwed up so it hasn't come up yet.

I’m an engineer, and after looking through this gentleman’s setup, he did everything right. Using a UL listed flow regulator, using the right quick connect fittings (very convenient!), dialing in the fuel flow using an engine test lab (big plus and impressive you went to this extent), providing the fuel adjustment tools for switching between propane/natural gas, using the right hoses, and crimping them correctly. Very impressed, I would take the same approach from a nerdy engineering perspective. Even measured the exhaust emissions to check if engine is running rich/lean at the prescribed setting. Very nicely done my friend; I’m buying. Even though I can probably build it cheaper myself, the headaches and risk of not getting the right parts, is worth the slight markup to me (ran the numbers about 30-40% markup which is very standard). Thank you for this and doing such a thorough job. I’m buying

Hi alainhernandez3568, thanks for the feedback and support. I started out buying a kit online and quickly became disappointed for spending money on a kit that lacked both in quality and ease of use. A lot of my competitors have been around on the market A LOT longer than I have, and had every single opportunity to build a kit the same way I have done it. But refused to do so and continued to collect sales from folks who were hoping to have good experience with propane and natural gas. All of the negative stigma about LP and NG you hear about, come from poorly built kits, and I worked hard to put in extra effort in making my kits easy to install and worthwhile. I come from an automotive background with years of hands on work experience with experience in product development and CNC parts manufacturing. This is how I was able to build and patent the aluminum fuel adapters.

Just set up the system. Straight forward and easy. Great tutorial. Look, I hate buying stuff when it turns out to be either not well made or just plain crap. I bought this system because you said it was made with high quality components. I'm thrilled to confirm every part I received was high quality, stuff I would have picked out myself. Very pleased with this purchase.

Love the well thought out video and good descriptions of all the issues you've gone through with this. These 5000 inverter generators are really nice but I wish they had a 240v output too. For now it looks like the 9500 inverter model is still the best bet for that. Is there any ETA on when the tri-fuel kit for the 9500 will be available/back-in-stock?

Unforturnalty we've been so busy with work at the shop its been hard finding the time to work on the Predator 9500 kit. But winters are usually slow and I'll be using that time to finish the kit.
