A couple other tips about cleaning out the fuel tank - open the fill cap to drain faster, and wrap a rag around your shop air blow tool in the fill hole to blow out the rest of the fuel and debris.

Leave it on for a little bit to see if vent is stopped up and then remove it

Hello! Just joined and working my way thru the vids. Great channel, clear and direct info. I also use needle-nose vise grips to pinch fuel hose but I cut 2 short pieces of hose to slide on the jaws. Clamps tighter but won't hurt the fuel line. Gotta go make a pot of coffee and spend the day watching. Liking retirement a LOT!

I just went through my predator 4000 for the windy weather to come. I have had it for 7 years,and has never failed. Over 400 hrs. On it, mane tanning all small engines, and regular gas ( no pump gas ) is key. Good advice. 🤙

Great advice with the drill for no power output upon startup. Dual fuel generators which can burn propane are the way to go, since you can store propane forever. The downside is that propane doesn't get you quite as much wattage output as gasoline does. The propane exhaust doesn't stink like gasoline exhaust does, but the carbon monoxide it produces can still kill you. I have a carbon monoxide detector inside my living room, just in case. The thing about generators is that people forget how many hours they put on those engines which have no oil filters. Metal particles just grind away in there. I change my oil every day when a hurricane cuts off the power, and it is running all day.

When they say turn it up and get it ready, flush fuel tank and new fuel hose and for sure carb cleaning along with cut off valve and filter, simply just fix it like it’s mine 😊

I use my cut offs from guitar strings to clean carburetors... they work well... Cause Most of the time I can't find my tip cleaners...Earnie Ball super Slinky in the pink pack is what I use on my Les Paul.... upper E is .007 gauge. Lower E.042 gauge. And a,d,g,b. In between...

can you put a pull cord on a generator thats electric start only like a riding mower briggs and Stratton just in case the power goes out and your battery is dead

Hey, T! I'm working on a grumpy MTD/White Outdoor LT524 comeback post-sale. Customer complaint difficult starting/long cranking times. I discovered the PCV hose disconnected from the back of the intake and a lot of resulting oil/gunk deposits. I never removed the intake plate prior to selling so I never found that issue (no reason to remove). Could this hose not being connected have anything to do with my difficult start issue? I'm able to start by spraying a volatile into the carbs. I know that could easily be an issue with 2T engines but don't know about 4T's. Do four strokes utilize crankcase pressure/vacuum in a similar way? Thanks for your time!
