this is such a great way to make powerful cosplay on a budget. masks like this usually run hundreds of dollars and take weeks to make but this can be done easily for much less. and in so much less time. AND you can even substitute a lot of it for more basic materials - clay for teeth- acrylic paint (not sure what kind you guys used), cardboard paper rolled up or more tinfoil covered in papermache painted black. the way you guys take such complex makeups and make them something a child could do with a parents/adults help is out of this world. i can't wait to make things using this technique.

It would be easier if you just sculpt it out of clay preferably oil based clay because it doesn't dry up and you can reuse it for another mask sculp then cover it with a thick lyaer of plaster then take out the clay and put in a few layers of liquod latex and you will take it out when it's thick enough when you peel it out it shed probably be light and ruberry then just painted with latex paint mix ( latex some poster paint or any paint that's flexible enough unless if you spray it with clear plasty dip spray then that way if you use acrylic paint with will probably crack of and crumble without plasty dip which means you don't need expencive paint if you use plasty dip
@Snakethoot8 жыл бұрын
Yeah cause sculpting out of clay is something that anybody could easily do... This videos is aimed at beginners and people just wanting to try out stuff for fun. I worked with clay and latex before, and I would never tell a newbie to start there. It just takes training and skill. This video is a good starting place.
@dannythemetalcrusty6668 жыл бұрын
yeah I gues but I mean just saying that its esier to sculpt it since that way its way esier to get the right shape then going around taping foil pices that will esely fall out in like 3 seconds I tried that but the foil just all fell of plus I would say if your doing it for fun its way more ejoyyment when its a little harder since that way you can take way more time with it and especialy sculpting since its not just gonna take 1 2 3 done its gone be a lot more of experience but what I think would be a bit more fun is if your starting just sculpt it and then cover it so layers of latex if not all the details work out properly use some coton latex and start putting on the details the latex fx makeup way but instead of putting latex and coton on your skin aply it to yhe mask and the dreads anrent that bad excep you could pinch some pices of black coton and aply it to the ends of the dreads that will make the ends look alittle more realistic WARNING ! this is just a tip so do it the way you want and I'm not hating so don't get all sour ok ;) bey
@Snakethoot8 жыл бұрын
You sound so far up your own ass dude XD I'm not talking about techniques with you. I'm just saying that not everyone can sculpt on clay, especially beginners. This videos is aimed at beginners that don't have the appropriate skills or resources to make clay sculptures. Also, have you ever heard about ponctuation? Your text is painful to read. Get rekt son. Bye bye ;)
