It's free to play on Xbox right now so it's making a SMALL comeback, but I think this game fell off because it's similar to evolve, after you've seen it and done it like 10 times you are about done, or play it every now and then if you are a big fan of the concept. But otherwise it's the same experience every time you play for the most part. That can be argued but not a lot.

I'm hoping the game gets a resurgence in its playerbase, but they've gotta advertise it. No one knows this even happened. I used to play this game a ton, so some tips to help new hunters out there: Sounds are important. Even while cloaked, your Predator will be making alien noises that alert the Fireteam to your location, unless you are using the Disciplined specialization, which removes this factor entirely. By default, you can pull up the noise-maker wheel with Y on keyboard which lets you mimic the call outs of the Fireteam and confuse or lure them to a location. You can also get a Noise-maker gear that lets you drop a piece of technology that will automatically do it for you at a certain interval; while at least one of these are out you can actually use the Noise-maker wheel to make each one say the line you choose. It can be a lot more effective than you may think. "Weaker Prey" is a term to describe NPCs _as well as_ low health Fireteam members. If someone is under 1/3rd of their health, things that deal extra effects to Weak Prey affect them as well, such as pinning to walls with arrows, the spear, or nets. While prey is pinned, you can do special long-claim executions on them worth more points than if you simply quick-claimed. You'll also feel like much more of a badass. When you are bleeding, your glowing green blood will leave a trail the Fireteam can follow to locate you. In water, the trail is washed away. You will continue to bleed until you heal. You don't need to fully heal to stop bleeding, just beginning the injection process will staunch the bloodflow and prevent you from leaving a trail. Every bit of damage you take that isn't on an armored part has a higher chance to begin bleeding, though armored sections can also begin to bleed when you are below a certain health threshold. You can heal two ways, or three if you use Savage specialization. The first is simply to use a medical syringe and heal directly while stationary and vulnerable. The second is to kill animals like boars and devour their flesh, which is a faster way to heal, but the heal will be much less than the potential of medical syringes. The third is only from Savage specialization, and it allows you to heal a large portion of your health on claiming a trophy from prey; you can claim lesser trophies from pinned and injured NPCs that aren't fully dead yet, healing you a small amount quickly. A Long Claim on a Fireteam member will leave you wide open, but it will restore a ton of health when the execution is complete. You take varying damage depending on what side you are hit and what part. An unarmored part will take more damage than an armored part, and your back takes an extra 50% damage, so try to avoid showing your back to aware prey as it could be disastrous for you. If you take enough damage to the head, your Biomask will eventually break and leave your head vulnerable to headshot damage, the same as your prey. If your Biomask is destroyed, not only will your head become a major weakspot, but your accuracy with the Plasmacaster and other smart weapons like the Smart-Disc or Crossbolt Gun will be severely hampered. You will also no longer be able to mark isolated Fireteam members to deal extra damage to them. When a Fireteam member is isolated, watching them will mark them over time. Once marked, you can track them easier and will deal bonus damage from all sources. If a fireteam member is below 1/3rd of their health and marked, they can be taken down with a stealth attack from behind using any melee weapon. Beware that this is a long-claim execution and will take some time to complete, but the reward is a *full* trophy, worth the most points you can get from claiming a trophy. Trophies are your 'victory condition' as a Hunter. You do not need to wipe out the entire Fireteam to "win". Your main goal is to get as much XP/points as possible in a match and still survive the battle to go out on another hunt. A quick-claim trophy is the fastest way to finish off prey, worth 550 points on Fireteam members. A long-claim trophy takes much longer and leaves you vulnerable to attack during it, however it rewards 1200 points on completion. Pinned prey reward the same value as normal claims, but have unique animations. Stealth attack full claims are worth 1750 points, and vary in their duration based on the weapon used; these are by far the most difficult to acquire, but are extremely worth it if you've got the skill. If you quick claim everyone once and just end the game before any reinforcements are called, you can get 2750 points from the trophies alone. Getting two long-claims nearly beats this out on its own. A single full claim will achieve more than half of a full-squad's quick claim cost. The penultimate hunt of legend would reward 12250 points based on 7 total full claims, and that does not include the score from downing Fireteam, killing lesser prey like NPCs and animals, or hindering their objectives like destroying ammo boxes or medical stations. Strive to be the best Hunter you can be by learning how to effectively get long-claims and full claims often. A hunt that ends in your death is dishonorable, but you can at least salvage a bit of that honor by blowing yourself up. Letting the Yautja technology get into the hands of prey is the worst possible outcome, so if you're going to die, be sure to activate your self-destruct. Even if all four Fireteam are caught in the explosion, this is still a loss. Just a mitigated loss. (In the past, all your trophy xp would be forfeit if you died, but for quality of life this feature was removed with an update) If you must, you can forfeit a trophy by simply killing a Fireteam member with more damage either from close or afar. Obviously this will cost you the trophy and the points associated, but it can make your hunt easier and open up avenues for bigger, better trophies without having to put yourself in harm's way to quick claim. The timer is on your side as a Hunter. This is how long you have until the hunt ends and you return to your ship to revel in the spoils of war. The Fireteam are the ones who need to be worried about the timer, as if they take too long their mission will fail. If it's down to the wire and you're low on health but time is almost up, it's better to retreat and live for another hunt than to die without anything to show for it. This means there is no rush, so take your time and plan ahead. Set traps in areas before the Fireteam get there, destroy ammo boxes and medical stations. In the end of a match if the Fireteam completes all their objectives, they must still extract, which forces them into a specific, confined location with limited resources for a "final showdown" between you, them, and the NPCs-- a seasoned Hunter might be able to even plan ahead and trap potential extraction points before they are given the order to go there. Obviously it's a video game and you should play it however you want to play it, but to make the most of your time, I suggest learning all these mechanics I've outlined and aiming to get the biggest score. One great game can be worth ten quick ones.

I got this game 4 years ago and waited ages to be Predator. I tried to attack people got caught and used to run until they lost track of me. By the time I figured out where they’d gone they’d escaped. I didn’t even know they can call in a chopper. I actually sucked.

I've had this since pre-order it was definitely a rough start. I did like the ground up building for Yautja when it first came out. Pick a class, then body, armor, and mask. Lore wise the presets are cool. But full custom would have been awesome. Ex. a berserker with the Amazon armor ect

This game was so busted on launch, the berserker could 1 v 4 the whole fire team in the first engagement, and the net code was so bad that you could kill the predator while you were disconnecting from the match and everything was frozen 😂

the new v3.0 update didn't do much for this game ^ ^ New ones keep popping up and other nasty bugs like the predator makes no mouth sound. There was also reduced damage to the predator by hitting from a greater distance, which is also somehow unfavorable and favoring the predator. As if all predators were dumb and disciplined. Even with FT people, no sounds are heard

I agree. This being multiplayer exclusive with this stupid 1v4 mode is such a waste of an amazing franchise. I just wanted something like Concrete Jungle 2 or a new AVP game. I just finished the Predator campaign in AVP 2010 for the 7th time. Unfortunately there is not much besides playing the old AVP games.😢
