A friend and I used the Predator V XL for 14 days (aprox. 90-100 hours each) hunting whitetail in Illinois - I'm really disappointed about the grip to the tree, it's near horrible! Why wouldn't they not just mount the same platform as the one-sticks which are awesome and locks in near perfect! I tried both the D.A.M Rope and the (cheap) standard band it comes with - not impressed by any of them. I´ll need to modify it with a grinder 2/6 stars.

Feel free to steal my idea. I would 100% use that threaded hole in the bottom to mount the platform to the top of a stick so I can 1 stick. It would be similar to the B.O.B. one stick but with 2 full steps below the platform instead of just 1.

The bolt hole on the bottom is only 1/4-20. I wouldn't want to try my luck as sideload sheer strength of that bolt in the aluminum without it passing completely through the aluminum to a nut on the other side. I wouldn't trust the threading that much!

@@averagejackarchery I would only use it as a method to connect the two together so I can push it up higher for less moves. Each section would have its own strap still and I would have the coupling point between the stick and stand something like a rubber hose so it can give a little but not so much that it will flop over if I am lifting it straight up.
