if Xenomorphs show up in another AVP movie where the main target for a yautja is an engineer, the xenomorph should should be in a "Specimen" role for the engineers, something explaining and actually furthering the story of how they ACTUALLY relate to the Engineers. and that should be in a snippet 2-3 scenes max, and the rest of the movie should be yautja and Engineer that's it. truthfully their should be a Predator movie that is Nothing but Yautja, and they come up with a creative way to explain what they are saying to one another without subtitles or "Human" Speech.

godzillarex888 The comic you are sighting is no longer canon to Dark Horse Comics since this Fire and Stone story arc serves a reboot to their comic franchise of Aliens,Predators, and AVP. They(Dark Horse Comics) wanted to include Prometheus. Besides, those old comics have some low showings for the Predators. The Predators despite their weapons gets overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of Xenomorphs in those old comics while the lone Engineer in Fire and Stone is killing tons of Xenos with just his barehands. A Predator was even losing in hand to hand fight with a petite asian woman in those old comics. Until the Predator's friends decide to help cheating in the process. In Predator Life and Death, the Predators lost twice to the Colonial Marines fighting for possesion of the Juggernaught ship on the planet Tartarus. The first true engagement between them the Colonial Marines were using their motion trackers and smart guns to negate the Predators cloaking advantage. The Predators ran away after 2 of their people died. The 2nd time was the Predators getting tricked by being kept busy by some Colonial Marines while another group of Colonial Marines went inside the Juggernaught and flying it away from the clutches of the Predators. In Prometheus Life and Death, the same group of Colonial Marines inside the Juggernaught encountered one Engineer. That Engineer managed to kill one of them. The Colonial Marines opened fire on the Engineer with their pulse rifles and smart guns. When the dust settled, the Engineer was still standing sending the Colonial Marines fleeing for their lives. One Colonial Marine remarked that the Engineer might have some force field. I could go on and on. But Fire and Stone and Life and Death is telling us Engineers>Predators😆😈

Frank Berst Predators don't run? They recently ran away from the Colonial Marines when 2 of their clanmates died in Predator Life and Death. The Predators cloaking tech were useless because of the Colonial Marines motion trackers and smart guns. The Predators lost to the Colonial Marines twice. The Colonial Marines tried to kill a single Engineer with their pulse rifles and smart guns in Prometheus Life and Death. But the Engineer withstood all that barrage thanks to his personal forcefield. The Predators teamed up with the Colonial Marines got overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of the Xenomorphs in AVP Life and Death while a single Engineer killed many Xenomorphs as shown in Predator Fire and Stone. As for Prometheus, even if we assumed they were running away from Xenomorphs(which I don't believe), those Xenos aren't human spawned. Those Xenos would be Ultramorphs since they would be spawned from Engineers. So Fire and Stone and Life and Death is saying Engineers>Predators😂

Ahab is unusual, being not only one of the few depicted predators to survive an encounter with humans (grrr) but also in the fact that he's got a ton of personality attached to him. Say what you will about the AVP films, but Scar and Wolf had, and to some extent still have, some of the most personality given to any predator in film. These creatures are obviously sentient and with sentience comes personality. Now we have Ahab; He's determined, he's ambitious, he's thoughtful, he's reasonable, he's curious, he's nostalgic,, hell, he's even quirky and amicable once he gets to know Galgo a bit better. He had me laughing harder than any other character in this story, and I couldn't understand a thing he was saying. Honestly, the idea of putting a grizzled, bitter, smart-ass-with-a-soft-side ship captain together with a cantankerous, ill-tempered and impatient Elder Yautja was sheer genius.

He only went after the humans he considered worthy adversaries. In Yautja society, they cannot hunt any life forms that are tending to young, are sick, dying or pregnant, they also cannot hunt anything or anyone who's unarmed. If they do it is a shame and dishonor to the Yautja society.

We barely see anything from the Engineers in the films, but in the comics they are depicted as both technologically advanced and physically impressive. You have to remember that these are explorer/soldier Engineers. They have advanced body armor. They have shields that stop projectiles when Colonial Marines open fire on them. They have very powerful weaponry. One Engineer routed a company of marines iirc and he took no damage. I don't know why so many people have a problem with this. An Engineer is bigger, stronger, and smarter than a Yautja. That's probably why they're regarded as the greatest game. Yautja depend on their strength weapons and stealth technology to hunt. That's not always going to go well when someone does all of that too except better.

Interesting story. I think if there was another predator more "in his prime", the predator would have stood a better chance. It may still have been difficult to overcome the engineer but I would put my money on a younger and stronger predator over an engineer. Great video!

Despite Ridley Scott's attempts to remove the Predators from the Alien cinematic universe, these comics make for an entertaining read as the Engineers, despite being the new kids on the block, provide an unprecedented challenge to the Predators skill as hunters. I hope that at some point in the future a film or game is made that pits the Xenomorphs against the Yautja, the Marines, and the Engineers. Sounds entertaining to me.

I actually personally still vote on the predator winning out over an Engineer. Mostly due to the camouflage and stalking. Despite the physical strength difference, a predator could still take it's prey. If pride and code requires physical combat over a silence kill, then I'd say the engineer would become a clear victor. I guess it all comes down to the rules and how they are played by.

I feel like it really depends on the skill level of the engineer as well though. Maybe unknowingly he stumbled across the biggest badass of all engineers and got to excited at the first one he found that it the engineers are really that powerful and he was one of the weakest and still beat such a skilled and well seasoned predator.

An unclean and messy kill, but a kill none the less. Ahab was outmatched, to successfully win the hunt, he had to treat the situation as a pack hunt, rather than a solo hunt. It's like a burly guy trying to tussle with a gorilla, it's not gonna happen unless you're either incredibly prepared, or you use numbers and equipment; together they still killed the engineer. It would have been dishonourable if the engineer couldn't fight back at all, but as he'd already proved; he could. If they let the engineer get back up, it could have succeeded in killing them. So given that the engineer pasted Ahab to begin with, and Ahab had (even if indirectly) brought the human with him, so in essence he had back up.

Still dishonorable. Its likely that the kill wouldn't be recognized by his clan as a result of him having to be aided and by a Human no less. He would've been fine if he just killed the Engineer and left it, but claiming a trophy for that kill is dishonorable in Yautja society.

I believe an experienced yautja like Ahab has already cleared out a hive of xenomorphs of atleast 300 including a whole queen by himself and a max of two other helpers. I dont see how that engineer- as experienced as He is can simply just break his arm... He might be stronger physically but your story somehow ignores the elite fighting skill that Ahab apparently posseses. Either way i enjoyed the story.

It’s not a story it’s an official comic and remember that the yautja killed their prey by Art Martin in them, and physically, defeating them at the end of the day they’re not indestructible physically they can easily be injured by something heavier strong enough. Arnie let the predator get cocky after it had thoroughly beaten him, and mocked him by removing his weaponry. He gained an upset victory by playing on the predators instincts that he was being "challenged" by a warrior, not some feral animal. which is something I spectacularly liked about the Predator, it was a noble evil despite being a sore loser. The Engineer was hands down one of the stupidest things I've seen on screen in a while. So this so called "intelligent" overlord/creator/scientist/engineer not a warrior, is revived for only a few seconds and turns into Jason Vorhees. Completely capable of communicating with humans, and it decides to go out its way to kill the people by hand. I was cringing. it wasn't scary. It's wasn't exciting. It was stupid. It was embarrassing to watch.

This comic was bias as hell in favor of the Engineer. A predator has all the feats of strength on his side. A veteran like Wulf held his own against a predalien in a duel and was winning... yet someone another veteran is beat down by some random Engineer? An whose only feat is being outsmarted by an "inferior" human and raped my a giant face hugger? How the whole dawn race was killed off by David because none of them question why a ship which had been missing for thousands of years suddenly shows up out of the blue? They made the engineers ridiculously OP in the comics, and no I'm not just talking about a nobody engineer manhandling a fully armed, experienced predator elder. I'm also talking about a part in the comic where a single engineer apparently has the strength to kill a pack of xenos unarmed with no effort. Kind of bullshit when you look at the performance of the one from prometheus, and even when not comparing them it still makes no sense. Other than that the comic was pretty good following Ahab and the human. I did chuckle though when Ahab took the engineer's skull when he didn't beat him in a one on one fight and needed the human to help him.

No, the fight was not even close, it looked like Berserker was trying at first when they tackled each other but this was only because he was mad that he escaped. The Berserker Predator was winning the fight the entire time, the Jungle Hunter only hit him twice and one of those was a cheap shot coming from invisibility. At the end of the fight, the Berserker was not even tired, but the other Yautja was left battered and bloody and could not even escape the single handed grasp of the Bererker around his throat.

James Shepherd No, that's wrong. The Jungle hunter was already weak and strung up for days maybe weeks. But Still managed to land two heavy blows. Him being invisible didn't make it a cheap shot. He was using his equipment. Similar of the bezerker predator using his Plasma Blasts on a weak predator let alone. Note also it took 3 super predators to take one Jungle hunter down.

What? if you had read the prequel comic you would know that the generic navy seal main character that landed before Royce and the group teamed up with Noland to ambush the Jungle Hunter and use it as bait for the Super Predators who brought it back to their camp where they tortured it. Remember in the film when the group fell into that area filled with traps? and found the dead body if the guy in the middle, those traps were set by that guy however they were bypassed and he was shot in the stomach by a plasma caster. Also, the Jungle Hunter did not land "two strong blows" the Super Predator was barely phased by them, and the first time he even shook his head after and left him self open mocking the Predator for being weak. Again, the second time, was a surprise attack, all the rest of the fight the Super Predator was winning

I really, really enjoyed this story. I liked the fact that they balanced it out such that Predators aren't really such an overpowered, all-slaying race able to take down absolutely everything. Where's the fun in playing the game of the hunt when you already know the outcome? It's the thrill and honour of the hunt that the predators take pride in overcoming and embracing. Seeing an elder predator of such a highly regarded skill level attempt to "retreat" however, was a bit disappointing, since as far as I'm aware, retreating is considered dishonourable and cowardly among predators. So that doesn't exactly sit well with me that Ahab would attempt to run away with his tail between his legs from his most sought after prey, I'd hope he'd take his defeat with some dignity and acceptance. But the story overall, coupled with the way you explained it made for a truly enjoyable video. Thank you very much for sharing this with us, Mr H!

Well, yeah. That's how Engineers win most fights, it looks like: CHEATING. xD Even though they are bigger and stronger and more resilient than humans, they still always resort to cheap tactics and tricks and stalks us from afar before killing us with their overpowered sci-fi weapons, before claiming trophies from their 'fair hunt'. :P They turn invisible, they have a super powerful PLASMA CANNON that shoots where they are looking at, they have all their mega-blades and net-guns and IF the prey manages to defeat them in a fair one-on-one combat, like with Arnold, they SELF DESTRUCT taking everyone with them. Talk about a sore loser :D It would be interesting seeing the Predator have more prep-time and stalk the Engineer and try his overpowered weapons and cheat tactics on him. But it felt good seeing him get DESTROYED in that fight. However... if he had been searching for an Engineer for over a hundred years, HOW is it he let himself get caught so off guard that that could happen? Seems like a clumsy fool of a hunter to me...

I would love to see a 3 part movie trilogy. That incorporates an epic story around the Xenomorph, Yautja and The Engineers. Definitely a chance to create a in-depth sci fi battle not just for the sake of doing a cheesy vs battle. But more as a species battle that wants to be the main ruler within the universe... Even including Weyland Corp in the battle although not as physically adapt to win the battle but more as a war strategy to let the competition battle it out and come in at the end to capitalise. Where they messed up and made it cheesy was the name Alien vs Predator and just focus to much on just a fight scene, with a very weak storyline and no real goal of what they are achieving! So the goal should be universal domination. With the Xenomorph being the ultimate at reproducing and being an army that is unfathomable, with being the dominant genetic species. The Yautja being the ultimate hunter, camouflaged and using its weapons to try and catch them off guard and trap them. Then the Engineers that are all about coming in with big tech to world dominate and being only interested in taking the resources of the said world and moving onto the next, but in doing so have to eliminate any competition in their way. And the Weyland Corp being the advanced human race helping all these challengers in destroying themselves with plans of coming in after the fact to pick up the pieces and being able to terraform the human species through the universe while stealing the competitions weaponry technology to use against them towards the end. And of course I would want to see our advanced human race being the overall universal winner but obviously not without an epic battle. It's achievable to make this the best alien merger of all time. But absolutely needs character building, twists throughout that keep you on your toes, epic battle scenes. Visually mind blowing (would love to see Christopher Nolan and Ridley Scott being the directors). With a musical score that depicts space battle (Hans Zimmer would be hands down perfect). All this put into a universal battle, would make an awesome trilogy 🤤

Yes that is indeed what they are. They have reached a pinnacle in their evolution, and were on the verge of reaching "Godlike" Status as in leaving their own organic, and in this case biomechanoid bodies behind, and becoming actual non-corporeal beings. But the reason why they may not have been able to achieve this was that they're spirit may have became diminished, not thinking interms of Good, and Altruistic ways, but just viewing all life in the universe as something like in a pietry-dish, to just erase and discard, experiment and tamper with to their liking. But interms of their technology incredibly and possibly the most advanced yes. They have hulking strength, peak, physical fitness, they seem to have overcame disease. They have no hair whatsoever, their skin evolving to a point it has no pigment and is more akin to porcelain.

While I did find this story interesting and unique, It's hard for me to believe that the Engineer would be able to overpower the Predator like it is written in this comic. Yes Ahab was older and much "slower" during this fight than his previous encounters, but I still think he could wipe the floor with the engineer. Good read tho. Thanks for sharing.

depends on the engineers knowledge of the predators and if they can see through the cloak without assistance from any external device edit: to be fair, after years of playing AVP2 and the reboot in pvp, I learned to spot them quite easily - provided they are moving And if we are counting the games, we've seen extremely large predator craft that have extraordinarily powerful energy weapons However we have yet to see a pred army, just small groups - gangs at most Given their culture, I highly doubt they are organized to any large degree
