This setup literally breaks the game. It counters everything in existence including defense points, reflectors, forcefields, shields... like what? The only thing it can't bypass is physical shields... which is something that the Rook titan has a lot of... along with the ability to jump 500 meters across the map. I didn't think the game could get any more unbalanced but damn.

It could have been extremely easy to at least make it not bypass defense points, for the sake of some of that good old "rock paper scissors" style of balance (defense points lose to Gauss, reflectors & unmitigable resistance lose to Reaper, Reaper loses to Gauss in sustained damage, etc.). Unfortunately, ever since dashbots and Spectre it seems the game has sought to attract a considerable audience of players willing to pay, not for a more chess-like experience, but for the fast&flashy easy-mode experience regardless of detriment to game balance. Almost all strategy has been purely reduced to keeping track of ability timers (where before there were things like avoiding Orkan rockets by straight retreat in a Gareth and lock-on time for all auto-aiming systems).

It's funny how the reaper weapon ignores everything, but they shouldn't have to ignore reflectors since they state in their description "non-negatable" that would've slightly balanced them out . I also want to say I like how they ignore "force fields" those are annoying for sure No new forefield robots will ever come since its sad they didn't give the current ones their own Special abilities instead if milking "force field".

Both forcefields and reflector work though "unmitigable resistance". Actually, reflector itself never has any resistance, all it does is reflect a % of damage, and the resistance underneath is a separate thing that is marketed as something that comes together. What they really shouldn't have to ignore is normal resistance. For that we have titan weapons, Gaussian railguns, corrosion, blast, etc.

The Ao Jun is pretty much the ONLY counter if you have yang lee as the pilot. You can run phase shift for the reaper clip and then you have the pilot skill to kill the crisis in stealth

Everytime I see Pixonic release a super OP weapon it gets trumped by the next super OP weapon. Now it's to the point that every 7 seconds people will be popping out from cover at eleven hundred meters away. People will literally be spawn camping and killing each other in 1 second. It is a monster indeed...If they do decide to nerf. It it would probably be by increasing the time it takes to go back into passive stealth after shooting, or lowering its durability a bit, or by making Reaper do less damage up close (considering its supposed to be a "Sniping" weapon). Though I bet some brilliant players already have builds to counter it so...we will see...

It has kinetic projectiles which means it does double damage to physical shields. It will destroy most shields in one or two clips, so it's not even worth it

The new weapons, bots, and titans introduce a new level of play which I suspect Pixonic isn't concerned that it virtually make all prior weapons, bots, and titans useless. Kind of makes sense when you think how Pixonic works -PAY-TO-PLAY- mindset. If you want to stay competitive you're going to have to buy new equipment. It would go a long way if Pixonic made a version where commanders were selected for battles based on the era of their equipment.

Gauss and corrosion already do that, ever since last stand was nerfed to be simply defense points. However, there was no need for Reaper to bypass defense points on top of all those other types of resistance.

I am a person who loves playing sniper builds, i love to see powerful builds like my prisma behemoth and my gauss behemoth, but this is stupid, the whole point of reflectors and alike is to protect the robots that need it, their physically isnt a way to flying robot good unless its ability has a reflector like the current robots in the game like aether, hawk, seraph, harpy and siren being some examples, for flying robots to exist you need these reflector and these %damage reduction shields, NOTHING should bypass them, i really am confused at pixonics thoughts, this games community need to rebel in the same way Warthunders community is rebeling at the moment. (Look it up, the community is actually doing a worthwhile boycot and review bombing.)

Corrosion and blast effect already bypassed reflectors and forcefields as well as normal defense points, but the corrosion has been kept weak clearly, and blast effect requires carefully aiming the flaming rocket weapons which is hard against flying targets. Reaper could have been balanced if it bypassed all those other things except for normal defense.

@@thenthtinkerer7635 probably yes, but as was said and shown in this video, being able to take bots from 100%-0% probably indicates too much damage I'm general from a 1100 meter range weapon, but maybe what you said about normal defence points would be enough to keep the damage down, just still would be too powerful Vs squishy robots that rely on shields like Typhon's and Mars, also anything else squishy could be 100-0'd like a jumping scorpion

@@Shellcool You are right, the 1100m Reaper in its current form must do much less sustained damage than the 800m Gauss to at least achieve the lowest and most fragile form of balance (purely damage-centered balance), and instead it seems much greater (of course, let's not forget the 30% damage increase from the ability shown here). I think AYGIR did a comparison between the two weapons but only when Reaper was still in test server and Gauss did have only slightly greater damage, but Pixonic may have simply messed with the numbers since then (as I said, a fragile balance).
