'Predictable and poisonous legacy': Piers Morgan blasts Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's claims about "supposed racists in the Royal Family" have left a "predictable and poisonous legacy" for the last few years, says Sky News Australia host Piers Morgan.
Ms Markle, in the past, accused someone in the Royal Family of voicing concerns about how dark baby Archie's skin colour would be before he was born.
"They knew the power their words would hold and many people across the world took their words at face value," Mr Morgan said.
Mr Morgan said Britain is still "dealing with the fallout" from Ms Markle's claims.
"Clearly neither of them [Harry or Meghan] give a damn about royal protocol or family privacy," Mr Morgan said.
The Sky News Australia host also took aim at royal author Omid Scobie following a number of bombshell claims in his new book Endgame.
Scobie, a Sussex ally, has been in the spotlight amid the release of his controversial book on Tuesday with published excerpts levelling accusations against the Royal Family, including who made racially insensitive comments to Meghan Markle about Prince Archie's skin colour.
The book has been pulled from shelves in the Netherlands following reports a Dutch edition named the "racist" royals who supposedly made insensitive remarks about Prince Archie's skin colour.

My esteem for Oprah, which was actually quite high, plummeted because of her interview with the Harkles. Even her reaction to Megan‘s insinuation of racism seemed disingenuous. Who doesn’t wonder who the baby will look like, especially when the parents are opposites in anyway, be it mixed race, red hair or blonde hair, or blue eyes versus brown eyes, and, yes, even skin tone. Chris Rock, one of America’s most brilliant Black comics, has mocked their insinuation of racism. As he said, “Black people wanted to know, too!“ Harry may have tried to backpedal what evolved from this insinuation, but it was too little too late. Is he that naive or just a simpleton to not realize the weight of his wife’s comments leveled against his family? And Mr. Morgan, “the whole world”, as you put it, has not come to believe the Royal family is racist. I am an American, and I never believed that the Royal Family is racist, even if one of them did ask this all-too common question of "Who will the baby look like?” And any of my American friends with whom that I’ve spoken about this subject also never believed it. In fact, we find the accusation laughable. Why? Because we watched how the royal family embraced Megan when Harry brought her to them, and said that he wanted to marry this pretty, charming young woman. His father, then Prince Charles, even walked her down the aisle for their marriage. Never did anyone I know feel that this royal family looked down on Megan or thought badly of her because of her being mixed race. While I fear that Megan has instigated the majority of this shameful behavior, the worst of it is Harry, who seems to just go along with it. He is spineless, and a weakling, and a disappointment, to the world who saw him as the adorable red-headed child and little brother to “Wills,” and no doubt to his family. When Harry shared the conversation with Meghan, he explained it was said with humor and laughed along with the others who commented because it was obviously a lighthearted and innocent comment. But Meghan was not about to let that opportunity go to waste. It was not to her benefit to ignore the innocent comment. It was much more convenient for Meghan to take offense and twist the comment into something ugly, something racial, which would fit beautifully with her victim agenda, too. By doing so, she provided for herself and the world, the reason why people didn't like her, as opposed to admitting the only reason people didn't like her was because of her personality and nothing to do with her skin color! It was much more convenient to say they didn't like her because they were racists! It's a much harder pill to swallow to say nothing and let the truth stand on its own; people didn't like her for how she behaved and her obnoxious personality! Wondering about someone’s looks is not racist! It’s innocent curiosity. Unless, of course, you are so feeble and fragile that everything offends you, in which case, “You poor pathetic thing.” Or, as in Megan’s case, she couldn’t fathom that she was unlikeable because of her personality. So she had to convince herself and the world that the reason people didn’t like her was because of her skin color, which is white, by the way! I believe, for this reason, when Harry was asked about the racist RF, he immediately denied it. In fact, he said there were no racists in the RF. He then came up with "unconscious bias," which may have been Meghan's compromise when possibly arguing the matter behind doors. Harry may have argued that point that his family were not racists! But he was too spineless to come out publicly to defend the RF. Meghan would have had none of that. Hence, "unconscious bias" became the excuse, but not after Meghan let it run for years without taking her comment back. It was only when Harry was directly asked on TV that he allowed himself (having the excuse that he was asked directly) to "sort of" take back the comment. Harry is between a rock (RF) and a hard place (Meghan). He wouldn't dare infuriate Meghan by going against her and clearly stating his family was not racist. He did the best he could under the circumstances. Meghan would never forgive him if he had said they were not racists, so "unconscious bias" was the best he could do. When my daughter married a Latino, I wanted my grandson to have his coloring. I guess I’m racist??? Just because you ask a question doesn't mean you're racist. I wondered about the baby's skin color. I'm fascinated with genetics and what we inherit from our biological parents. It is only racism, in my opinion, when there is discrimination, degradation, or deprivation.
