I bet Bennett stays in Florida. I’m not a panthers fan but I know he’s a fan favorite there. Otherwise, I would absolutely love for my St. Louis blues to pick him up if they can get rid of Schenn(he’s not a legit second line center at this point) Besides are defensive issues not having a solid second line center is one of our biggest flaws

Whoever signs first of Marner or Rantanen, should set the bar for the other guy, they are very similar players (Ikik rantanen can do it in the playoffs, but Marner is better defensively, still similar players)

You are def right that the other guy sets the bar for the other! I think they will get similar contracts, but that being said alltho Marner is really good, his should not be mentioned on the same sentence with Rantanen who is arguably the best winger in the league after Kuch, he has proved it in the playoffs, has scored 50, won a cup and broken 100 points twice in a row (which Marner has never done) and will do it this year as well.

For me it’s more about term, he doesn’t get anymore than two years max. This years Predators is a prime example on why you don’t give players in their mid 30s long term contracts

Bouchard is barley better than Seider he plays on a loaded team unlike Seider he’s not worth 10-11mill his shot is sick but there’s a reason he wasn’t close to making Canada. Not just that they already had Makar he makes way too many errors. Sick run in the playoffs for sure and is a point merchant but has too many mistakes to make over 10
