Cuz it’s oscar bait that fits whatever diversity bs (there’s nothing wrong with diversity, but look at the oscar requirements for diversity and it is total nonsense) they’re trying to push this year for whatever reason even though the rich French dude who made this movie admitted that he didn’t do any research about trans people or Mexico and the cartel, which this movie revolves around. Also only having 1 Mexican actor, so the Spanish is garbage and the musicals qualify more as talking rather than singing. The academy doesn’t recognize comic book/ Star Wars movies. They don’t consider them “cinema” even though they always make the biggest cultural impacts. Ryan Reynolds does not deserve best actor though, unfortunately. He plays himself. He doesn’t act as Deadpool, he IS Deadpool. He’s not transforming himself into a role. His role is his own self. They deserve love for visual effects, and I could easily argue Huge Jackman as supporting actor.

Here is what you need to consider about Flow: 1. It was created using a free computer animation film called Blender. The budget was only $3.5 million, which is abnormally low for an animated feature. 2. It has zero dialogue, yet you can piece together everything the animals are saying. That helps keep the audience engaged. 3. It also engages the audience by including scenes that are left up for interpretation. For example: the mysterious force on the mountain. 4. The characters undergo development, even though they're animals. 5. It's an original with a simple yet beautifully conveyed message, which is that despite differences, there can be a community. These are Oscar-worthy achievements, and although I would love to see The Wild Robot win, Flow was more groundbreaking. Sorry to disagree. I know not everyone enjoys these types of artsy films, but it is a masterpiece, IMO 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

@rockersachin4674 The only thing I like about the film is its cinematography. Its plot was literally a Wattpad story. Also a lot of s*xual scenes were unnecessary.

I'm biased here but Kneecap was absolutely snubbed of a Best International Feature Film. The impact that movie had on the Irish language is unmeasured, but instead it misses out thanks to Emilia Perez
