I hope Nabbit is a secret unlockable but tbh I don't care cause I love Goomba and he gonna be my main. So hyped for this game it looks like they listened to the issues with Superstars so far. Larger roster, more boards, and the minigames we were shown look more diverse. (Hopefully not a million coin minigames again)

I am super excited but also a little worried because the past two games lacked in content to continue playing. Super Mario Party had amazing minigames besides the coop ones, but the boards were too small, similar with the grid layout, and took so long like just a 10-turn game took 1 hour. The modes were fun besides rival survival but didn't have board play online with randoms! I also think Superstars deserves too much credit considering it was labeled the best Mario party yet. The board play was good but the minigames were soooooooooo bad like only a few felt fun and the modes were basically very similar, not to mention the character roaster was a little disappointing and it didn't get any updates, the only good think about it is that you can play the boards with randoms online. This game looks very good so far but hopefully we get to play the main boards online with randoms and friends and get free or even payed dlc updates which doesn't seem to happen like with the past two games but hopefully Nintendo finally listens, and we get more content after the game is released.

This has to be my most hyped announcement for the direct! I personally think that waluigi island is unlockable due to it having a "bonus" theme but deep blooper sea may also make it due to the huge ocean in the map. As for characters, Ik Boom Boom is confirmed cuz more likely than not I told u that but I'd want to see more oddballs like Funky Kong or Kamek as Playable. As for retro minigames, I just want more wii representation. Luv ur videos!

Actually, I'm not sure about Chargin' Chuck. Yes, the screenshot has "Danny" floating above his head, implying a player controls him... but on the ranking list on the left, one can see the "Danny" name is applied to Daisy instead. Also note that Chargin' Chuck is fairly large compared to the rest of the player characters, when for a minigame like this, it'd be fairer if the sizes were the same (e.g. in the Gridiron Gauntlet minigame from SMP, Bowser is shrunk down too). Both the larger size and the character discrepancy seem to allude that Chargin' Chuck is some kind of _transformation_ or temporary control, rather than a fully playable character.

Oh yeah, that could also be possible! Although if it's a temporary transformation, I presume that any character would probably be able turn into anyone (would be a bit random if it was just into him for any reason), so I'm still hopeful that Chargin' Chuck is a likely addition, with his model being in the game and all!

honestly 28 with 8 unlockables is my dream amount. though i don’t think chargin chuck is playable that clip shows that character registered as daisy. So i would love to see 14 hero’s and 14 villains adding Diddy and Pauline for heros then Ninji Hammer Bro Dry Bones Boom Boom Pom Pom and Lakitu However im expecting them to only have a roster of 24 with 4 unlockables all being villains which makes me think hammer bro might be getting shafted and we’ll get Ninji Dry Bones Boom Boom and Lakitu

When they say "Over 110 Minigames", that to me is just the way Nintendo has always rounded numbers in these announcements. It means the number of minigames will be somewhere between 111 and 119.

i think pauline will be one of them mostly because diddy/pauline seem to keep coming in duos *strikers and kart* and also the fact it makes sense she wasn't in the last two. we didn't get any newcomers in superstars, only characters who were already playable in past games, as for super? well she had just redebuted a year ago, and they had likely already been working hard on the game and didn't have time to put her in. for the 6 not shown characters tho? i definitely think Pauline/Diddy/Dry Bones/Hammer Bro/Blooper/Nabbit. the reason i say this is well, the boom boom on the island looks like an NPC you could talk to, same with the other residents on that island. blooper was gonna be in super mario party but got scrapped, so there's that too.

Great predictions and discussion! Agree with most you mentioned, but here are some additional considerations and disagreements on my part: - Super had a larger character roster (including 4 unlockable characters, worth mentioning as we could get at least as many this time) because of its buddy mechanic while Jamboree I'd say has it not only because it seems to combine the best of that game and Superstar, but also because of the Koopathlon mode and that mode is also the reason why there had to be at least 20 base characters (almost surely the ones shown at 1:39, Super also had a shot similar to this in the intro if I recall correctly and his absence there could confirm Ninji as an unlockable one); - the path at the bottom of Western Land could have been added to allow players to move out of the way if they want to when someone is close to the train - I know from experience that it's quite common to be sent to the start on that specific part of the map (nowhere as bad as in Pirate and Space Land, but still); - those in Rainbow Galleria look like stamp booths (not sure if there's a better term for them) - if you look closely at 11:32 there seem to be a stamp on the right - so I bet players will get something for visiting them all similarly to the suit squares in Fortune/Boom Street or, even more fittingly although unfortunately in a sense, the Lloids giving stamps in Animal Crossing amiibo Festival; - Roll'em Raceway could not be a "race to the finish" board à la Goomba's Booty Boardwalk despite its theme because if that were the case it would be really weird to have a split path that doesn't make you cross the both literal and figurative finish line as you can see by comparing 13:10 and 13:16; - unless it's purely visual for some reason, I'd say that the event in Goomba Lagoon should have something to do specifically with the erupted Gold Goombas even though I also don't know what exactly instead of or at least along the tide; - the one at 16:52 is most likely also a rhythm minigame considering the notes above the characters.

Great predictions! But it is actually 21, not 22. Chargin’ Chuck could possibly be a character you transform into because the person is playing as Daisy and the name of the person playing as Daisy is above Chuck.

Theres a black pipe at the begging but also at several points at the end which makes this the first ever multiple path linear board in mario party

I excessively go over the trailers and here are some things I don’t know if you noticed on the boards. - There are 2 different item shops in every board. There’s a Kamek shop that has a purple look and a Koopa Shop with a yellow look. -The above detail does seem to tie in to the revised version of Mario’s Rainbow Castle. The item shop there looks like a fusion, which implies that it also rotates similar to the Star and Bowser. - Flash Sale works day/night cycle. The UI at the bottom of the screen acts as a timeline for turn order and events, it shows the sale starting and ending at turn 5. - The Peepa area in the mall has Boo Bells in the window which makes it seem like it will be an event that gives you a Boo Bell. - The happenings in Roll Em’ Raceway will spring you, and you can actually see where you’ll land because the spaces have the same terrain underneath. - For the junction at the bottom, it seems like the choice there is between passing the starting line or going to the pit stop for some event. I imagine crossing the finish line gets you something as Koopa is there like the Mario Party 1 boards, possibly a dice block because of the decal.

Hopefully Boom Boom and Charging Chuck are in the game because they aren't confirmed yet. Boom Boom could be an mpc on that island because Birdo was one in Super Mario Party. Charging Chuck has some explanation because at 3:53 Charging Chuck has a nametag on top of him but if you look at the left with the standings you can see that that same name has a daisy icon on it which could either mean one of the following. A: Charging Chuck is in the game but hasn't been finished yet seeing how he doesn't have an icon, and that he's much bigger compared to the rest but accidently was in the trailer by mistake. B: He could be a power up or item you can turn into in that Bowser cannon mode C: Is not a player in the game but rather an enemy but accidentally had a nametag on him by mistake. Tell me down below what you guy's think!

Im hyped for this game. I think Diddy Kong, Pauline, Petey Pirahna, Nabbit, Dry Bones, all could be possible options, I know Petey Pirahna isnt very likely, but i'd be excited if he appears playable in a Mario Party. The boards look exciting as well, the wiggler board seems to be your typical basic forest/grassland board, but im still hype for it seeing how the wiggler gimmick is gonna work. Goomba Lagoon kind of concerns me seeing the board layout, but im excited to see what they'll do with the volcano, we see in the trailer that when the volcano erupts, gold/coin goombas come out of the volcano, and they seem to be the ones from NSMB2, confriming that they make a return as a board gimmick, I think the gold/coin goombas are gonna be all around the board, and if you stomp them, you get coins, similarly to MP8 when youre almost completion through playing the boards where coins spawn everywhere on the boards. Roll Em' Raceway is gonna be interesting to see, I have many concerns for it, I think itll end up being one of my least favorites, but who knows 🤷‍♂️, im just concerned of how the board works knowing that ND Cube had no idea of how to make a mario party game back then. The board im most excited for is Rainbow Galleria, seeing something never seen before in a mario party game will be exciting, the overall board design, layout, it looks fantastic, the flash sales gimmick looks interesting too. Finally, King Bowser's Keep, not much footage from what we've seen from this board, but it looks like a Space Land type map where there's gonna be one area where you loose coins or stars, seeing Bowser both playable and being the one taking the role of the Bowser spaces will be interesting. The minigames look like fun, im glad to have the option of playing with Joy Cons, I also predict we will be seeing some retro minigames like Albert Boris mentioned, we dont know too much about the minigames, but they look like fun all things considered. Last but not least, the side modes. We got a glimpse of a mode called "Koopathlon" which is what seems to be the Coinathlon mode from Star Rush, but in Jamboree, that'll be exciting. I also wanted to point out that the minigame where Mario and Luigi are taking Peach in a basket in the trailer seems what to be a side mode, because in the hub world that was shown in the trailer, there's a location that seems to be that minigame, it looks unfinished, but i'd be happy to see another River Survival, but actually good this time. The music stage mode seem to make a return from Super Mario Party, but this time in a kitchen as we see in the hub world shown in the trailer, as we see footage of that one minigame where they are sliceing some potatoes and other foods, so I guess this confirms a rythm type mode coming back. Overall, the game looks like fun, I know ive talked a lot, but as a Mario Party fan I must say that this game looks amazing!

11:14 that peepa DOES NOT cause a flash sale. Theres no one on that space. He likely gives out boo bells for a price which is probably why his space has only one event space instead of two (to balance it). There camera is panned there likely because the flash sale might lower the price of all stars AND the shops, something that went unsaid in the trailer. Also those stands in the mall seem to be some sort or stamp card. You’d likely get the card at the shell place at the beginning of the map, and once you stamp all of the places on the card you can go back for a reward. As for the shops… i have no idea but the one that says “4th” has to be like forcing you to give some item to 4th place Okay now roll em’ raceway. the star is not at the start. If you look at the zoomed out picture you can see stars painted on the asphalt on both split paths on the top of the map. More proof that the start isnt at the stat is that when toad passed the boo hes like 40 away from the star, and from the point the start is not 40 spaces away As for the event panel things, theyll push you forward a few spaces. There are three of them (Pink ones at the start, blue ones in the top-middle, and green ones at the end). The landing points are marked with a metal ground, and the one in the top-middle of the map will send you back to start

Great video but the reason the title has Super is because Super Mario Party was intended to be ND Cube's reboot of the classic formula with their unique lens which we kind of already knew but jamboree confirms that this is the new direction. So basically, Superstars is a spinoff Mario Party game, and Super Mario Party Jamboree is the reimagined Mario Party 2 of the series.

I still think the roster should be even and since we already seen a Bowser themed board in the direct, i think its very likely that we MIGHT see no unlockables in the game since Mario Party Superstars didnt gave us any unlockable characters or boards in that game but i believe that the only POSSIBLE unlockables are the same kind like the stickers from Superstars based on a image we saw in a screenshot that had similar setup as the stickers so i expect the new collectable will be the same as the stickers which will be the ONLY thing you need to unlock on the other modes and triggers to get them all.

My predictions will be how you unlock them in order: Ninji, Diddy Kong, Pauline, Hammer Bro, Blooper, Dry Bones and finally Pom Pom. If Daisy who is being played by Danny doesn't have a temporary transformation then Chargin Chuck is included in my list and I believe that Boom Boom and Lakitu will probably not be playable as Birdo and Spike were NPCs in the first Super Mario Party and soon became playable in the sequel so maybe I would assume that both of them will be playable in the 3rd one when the switch's successor comes out forming a trilogy of Super Mario Party games and it's better that way because maybe where they are, it's probably a minigame island where you can play different types of minigames or do free play and maybe boom boom and Lakitu are the hosts of each type of minigame, for example, 1v2, 3v3, free for all, free play, etc. But maybe if Super Mario party had an even amount of characters because it was the first in the series and Superstars had 10 erased from the roster because it was only a collection of minigames and a throwback to the originals then Jamboree would be the bigger version in the trilogy maybe adding up to 25 or 30 playable characters, it was even labeled as the biggest Mario Party game yet so I assume that's where the game will start off.

Really hoping we get Diddy but it wouldn't be the first time he seemed like an obvious choice but Nintendo still passed on him. Now here's alternative idea. What if he replaced the DK spaces as an NPC? Even though I'd prefer to be able to play as him, that would be better than nothing. Especially since Kamek is presumably still handling Bowser spaces.

Im really hoping for more characters. Tho I think the selection we so far have seems decent, some of the Enemy characters (gumba and spike) feel slightly Pointless and easily replaceable. It would be a great opportunity to add more popular characters, and maybe even other more obscure characters as well. Just saying, I know that she’s a obscure character from a spin-off game from a other character. Captain syrup would make a fitting addition for Mario spin-off games

“Super Mario Party Jamboree” is so wordy, but just Mario Party Jamboree is growing on me. I’m still bothered, but not cause I hate the name, but because Jamboree is just another word for a gathering / party, like it’s Mario Party Party. It’s like if the game was called “Mario Party Festival” or “Mario Party Fiesta” or “Mario Party Celebration.”

@@AlbertBoris TBF, with the new game, it clearly implies that Super Mario Party basically just became a new line of sequels that branched off from the main, numbered Mario Party games, so within another three or more after the new game come out, maybe, we could get a new numbered Mario Party game, but people shouldn't guaranteed that a new numbered Mario Party game, wouldn't be another reboot, like how NDCube did with Mario Party 9 and how the series from that point forward, redirected its focus and approach. For Superstars, it's more of a half-remake and half-reboot, which I feel it could also branch off as another set of Mario Party sequels, or it can just be a one off thing, like with the handheld Mario Party games. Plus, Superstars would had really benefitted from DLC and free additional content.

Actually the Chargin Chuck is just a hazard for that Bowser fight as shown in other shots we have those Typhoo enemies as hazards and considering the model for Chuck being substantially larger than Peach, plus the “Danny” name would’ve been above the model’s head not almost clipping into it. As for Boom Boom it seems he’s gonna be a host for one of the Mini game modes as he’s next to Lakitu

The ones that aren’t shown like Diddy Kong, Dry Bones, Hammer Bro, Blooper, Pom Pom, Pauline, Funky Kong, Nabbit, Chargin Chuck, Boom Boom and Petey Piranha should be playable, so a 16 for good guys, and 16 for bad guys, in total will be 32 characters! Also, if they brought back two boards from older Mario Party games, why not bring back Minigames from older Mario Party games? And maybe boss battle Minigames might return?

One my bet but hope not ]: it be like Mario Karen 8 DLX game. We get all they show for stages and character that was show and said by you. But might get some party pass but not as much as kart: like only for 5 months and starting 2 month after game start. And they just keep have minor updates like for glitch fix and maybe small suprise. But I’m only glad for bowser mode form 10 is coming back just without cars. I do my other guess in another comment so this not big thing.

I've been trying to block Boom Boom from my memory because he replaced Kritter in Mario Strikers Battle league. Hopefully he's part of the minigame rather than a playable character. Practically 0% chance but I really don't want Boom Boom to rear his ugly face in any character select roster ever again
