Predicting The 2024 AFL Grand Final

(Add some humour to this and excitement) The Holy Grail is the thing every kid dreams of playing in the AFL Grand Final, between the Brisbane (Fitzroy) Lions and the Sydney (South Melbourne) Swans. This grand final has been 125 years in the making when Fitzroy was victorious victory by a solitary point way back in 1899. The last 2 losers meet in the grand final where the loser will be the biggest loser and the winner will begin a destiny. What a journey it's been for the Lions to beat the Blues, coming from behind to win the Giants, and then upsetting everyone's premiership tip in the Cats. The Lions remind me of an underdog named Ajax (a Dutch football team) who nobody thought would do anything and went on to knockout champions like Real Madrid and Juventus but fell to Tottenham. But I think the most relatable team to this Lions side would be the Bulldogs of 2016 who traveled across 3 states like the Lions have. Funny enough the swans finished runners up to the dogs and finished 1st. Will history repeat itself? The bloods (swans) who have arguably been the best side of the season and have been the ladder leaders for the season bare the first 8 rounds. The swans took down the giants and then murdered the power. The swans have made 6 grand finals under Longmire. His only victory in 2012, will Longmire break the cruse? Can they win or will they fail again? This will be a modern classic I really would love to see a grand final go to the extra time I have a feeling this is the best chance of that happening as it would be fitting to one of the greatest AFL seasons we've seen. I predict this game to go down to the wire it'll be a neck and neck the whole way through. Lions by 5 and Lachie Neale will win the Norm Smith. The lions are going to start their destiny here. I think they can do a Hawks of 2013-15 and get a 3 peat. Thanks for all the laughs and everything this year David. I've been watching you since 2016 and every time I watch a video of yours it always brings a great big smile to my face. Thanks for making me smile man you're a legend and are welcome to Australia anytime. Looking forward to another great season next year and it's a pleasure to have you bring us on the journey with you! Hopefully, hawks can do something next year and I'm sure it'll mean the world to you and it'll be good to see you enjoy it. Hopefully, you can one day see the Hawks win a grand final in person. Mid season......who woulda thunk it? Giants had it all over us this season, got past them, I honestly didn't think we'd get past the Cats, almost couldn't watch it, it was a beautiful thing. We beat Sydney just a few weeks ago and I'm still trying to decide if that's gonna work in our favour or not, either way, I'm more confident this year than I was last year. Go LIONS! Too bad about "The Big O" though, that's really gotta suck. I'm wondering who's gonna Ruck for us now but.....I'm sure that someone will fill that gap. Last time the Lions played the Swans in a Granny was like 100 years ago (South Melbourne Vs Fitzroy) and the Lions won........just saying.

I find this game impossible to pick. On one hand the Lions are hot and playing amazing football. Geelong played well so beating them was difficult. Yeah, Geelong lost Holmes but Brisbane lost the big O too. Sydney has had an ideal lead up and a pretty healthy list so I think they should be favored by the gamblers. * odds Sydney $1.73 and Brisbane $2.12 - gamble responsibly* - Sydney have one big advantage in Brodie Grundy. Darcy Fort might get a fairytale callup to replace McInerney. We will have to wait and see. They might just keep Joe in the ruck and inject some speed elsewhere. Just because of the Big man situation and the easier run leading into the Grand final, Sydney SHOULD win but you really never know. Sydney by 10 points....but i might change my mind by Saturday afternoon, so before you put me on any list, check underneath this comment for any updates.

one theory I had is since in 2022 Geelong went in the grand final with pretty much no problem, Sydney had just barely made the grand final and by turn of the big day that year the Swans felt too tired out and got smashed like they did... now swans didn't completely smash port but its still better for them compared to beating Collingwood by 1 point. And as for Brisbane they won in a close game which in times they struggled which the cats did as well. But if your following along with what I'm saying and it makes sense, based on what I've said Sydney should win. And if this doesn't make sense to you at all just put me on the list we shake hand's ill see you in 2025 I guess...

Im back & forth on who wins this game. I lean towards Brisbane because Sydney hasn’t played at the MCG since round 7 & their form has been really good against them. But on the other hand the last time Sydney won the flag was the year before GTA 5 released which was 2012 & so since GTA 6 releases next year I’m genuinely considering changing my tip to Sydney since its a good Omen for them
