​@LemorasCards thank you! I wanna play an oswald uba deck with a myr welder finish but from the sounds of this video it sounds like stax is a bad play for the meta these days. Do you think a B tier commander can win a big tourney? Not this tourney specifically

@astrowerm well I did cover an Oswald that won a big Chinese event, though it wasn't really a stax list. I think stax could take down a bigger event. It just takes the right meta some good piloting and a little luck. B tier or even lower commanders still fairly regularly have good runs at big events, they just don't consistently perform at that level.

I'm really doubtful of Necrodominance in Rogsi though, I have yet to use it successfully... The "only in the end step" activation + max hand size 5 + direct exile of cards played makes it really hard to pull a win out of it, especially at a fast pace. Are you aware of a scenario this card is really beneficial ? As a side note, I'm a big fan of leyline of anticipation in Rogsi since I've seen it come up on your channel

How do you guys feel about Talion? Is it going to do better or worse or the same in Sept. What is making it be in the #11 to #20 instead of top 10? What can push it into top 5 or 10. I look forward to your opinion. Thank you.

It seems like most people are opting for the higher card quality of decks like TnK over the better commander in the zone, and it's hard to blame them. It's probably even more punished by decks like Sisay since it's going to be slower to push a win in those pods, and its interaction might not line up. I'm not sure that a heavy control shell in general is favored, but in some pods where you can stop the fast deck and grind cards you can still pull out ahead of other midrange options. It's a little hard to say what it needs to pull ahead, maybe just lacking players who believe in it more than the top 4 decks right now.

If you are new to cedh and a deck in general, my best advice is not to tinker with the decklist for a bit. Until you understand the card selection, then adjust for the meta.

Nadu was just released, TK is a more recent norm (like the last year or so I think), Rog Si is a pretty recent resurgence from Necodominance, and Sisay has also been a lot more popular recently. Not actually sure why Sisay has seen such an uptick.

Everyones meta is different. We just had a 52 player tourney and our top 4 was sisay najeela krarksi and kinnan. Personally im getting to where i dont want to play anymore. They keep printing more and more busted cedh cards with no bans to balance out the more and more broken cards coming down the pipe. We cant even play the full scope of archetypes. Its only turbo and midrange. And now if you cant win by turn 3 then you have no chance. Need a big shakeup to reset some things.

How about ban nothing and this is the healthiest the meta has been in years. Finally there's like thassa breach, dockside abusers, hullbreaker, food chain all playable at the top level. It's a good time not to get stomped by only flash hulk or the najeela reign. We have a format that has multiple avenues of playstyles which is fucking awesome to see commander's having a more whole deck identity now.
