It's rare to see role players become stars within the span of a single season, but I think...for these guys, everything about their situation will promote their development into a star. Let's take a look!
I make all kinds of NBA videos which include analysis, player stories, countdowns, and mysteries. Make sure to leave a like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video!

With Kyrie and Luka as a first and second option on the Mavs, Josh can finally take that next step and be that breakout player. He could never get the chance to show it though because he was always playing behind guys. His defense and feel for the game is something you can’t teach. He does the little things that don’t show up in the box score. He is a menace defensively. Really excited to see how he does this upcoming season.

*I honestly feel like Keegan Murray needs to be on here.* He is already set the NBA record for three pointers made by a rookie, he is a good defender despite not being laterally quick, and if he continues to develop his shot off the dribble, the sky is the limit for him.

Feel like him and JDub are gonna show out this next year. Dub had the orbital fracture early on make him miss time and even when he came back, it was still affecting him all the way into march. He said he had double vision and was having to sleep upright to keep too much blood from going to his eye.

The only problem with keegan murray is that the kings have too much capable scorer. You see how well spread out their scoring is. Keegan was already good is his rookie year bur averaged only 12 but that's only because they got too many capable scorers which is good but can be bad for a breakout season for Keegan Murray.

Jones is simply a winning player, he sees the game like a coach🎯 One thing seemingly always missing about the analysis of Sengun is how much of a defensive liability he is. Trey Murphy is highly underrated, sucks that he wont be able to start the season with the Pels due to the torn meniscus.

I'm as high on Murphy as I am on anyone on the Pelicans besides a healthy Zion. However, Murphy just suffered a meniscus tear and won't be back until December. I think that might set him back a lot. He's going to be returning to a team that's already played two months of basketball. He'll be coming off a long rehab. I don't think the true breakout will happen until next year.
