I think this is valuable to look at. Maybe look at hit rate of late round QB vs WR vs RB vs TE. This could tell us which positions to make sure we hammer early, and what has a better chance for hitting for us in the later rounds.
@jco2072 ай бұрын
Also, what was last year's QB injury rate compared to other years?
@matthewoliveira43692 ай бұрын
I think something to mention with stafford is that the rams team could be built for a significant amount of shootouts over the season. The offense is clearly the best part of the team. The defense lost not only aaron donald but Raheem Morris, who seemed to be squeezing water out of stones with some of the players there. They just had 2 of their 3 top CBs obtain injuries in camp. While they do not seem to be long-term injuries, it seems like they are both soft tissue, one being a hamstring, and we know how those can lingering. We know Stafford has shown the ability to sling the ball during those games and if he can still do it, it wouldn't surprise me to see him have huge number again.

Lot of young QBs making for a lot of depth at the position. Challenge for the older vets to finish top 3 is most of them are 0s in the run game, but Stafford in particular looks like he could have a monster year. Two years removed from a 4800/41 season.

Do you really see Goff improving from 4500/30/12 though? He just doesn't rush AT ALL to have much more upside imo. Love at least had similar passing stats but had 247 rushing yds (which equates to another 625 passing yards) and 4 rushing TDs.

It is baffling to me that the Jets can have 2 of the Top 10 players in fantasy football this year... and Rodgers is still not considered elite at QB. He has won the league MVP in 2 of the last 3 years he has played a full season. Why can't AR be a top 3 QB? If both Breece Hall and Garret Wilson hit this year, ARod will be a Top 5 QB. Mike Williams and Conklin aren't too shabby either.

I would really like to hear your argument for why you’re so adamant on Watson not being good even though he showed that he was still good last season?
@smittysomething35202 ай бұрын
He really wasn’t very good last year. He graded out as the 27th best QB according to PFF last season.
@duketrippy9332 ай бұрын
@@smittysomething3520 he was good, no one said very good or elite. We saw him at his floor last season and he was good for us in every game but 1. And in 3/4 games you could argue he looked top 10. He was so good in fact that he didn’t even play in the 4th quarter of 2 of the games he won. In a system built for a pocket passing qb like Flacco or mayfield he was effective enough to have a +64 point differential on the season. Obviously he needs to be better but it’s a lie to say he was a net negative or net neutral on the season. Every game he made elite plays if people watched the browns instead of reading pff grades they wouldn’t sound so foolish
@smittysomething35202 ай бұрын
@@duketrippy933 I mean I’m kinda high on him this year, I think he can pull it together and is a good value in drafts. I’m just saying it didn’t seem great last year, but I’m biased because he got the dumbest contract in the history of sports. I think he’ll have a better year.
@duketrippy9332 ай бұрын
@@smittysomething3520 expecting more from him is fine, smart even, I’m expecting much more in this new offense. It just annoys me when people argue that he wasn’t good, he wasn’t the top 5 guy we saw in Houston but was definitely a net positive in every game he won and made elite plays every game. Flacco only gets love because it was a fun story but he was horrible for us and the only reason his number were nice was because he had to throw that much since he always put us in terrible positions with turnovers
@smittysomething35202 ай бұрын
@@duketrippy933 Fair, maybe he wasn’t as bad as I thought. I think me and a lot of other people just weigh his performance against his contract. I like grabbing him in underdog drafts and he still has a decently high ceiling. We’ll see if he has a Tiger Woods like comeback this year.

We've seen Herbert destroy in years past. Right now he's the QB17! We think we know who Quentin Johnston is,but what if he's Mike Williams 2.0 (when he was good)? What if McConkey is a PPR machine like Keenan Allen is/was? What if Herbert goes full Josh Allen/Jalen Hurts and ends up with 10+ rushing TDs? I know with Harbaugh it's going to be a run 1st team, but I see him passing for over 4k yards and close to 30 passing TDs. Even Palmer and Chark could get 1000/10 between them.... it's possible!

All i know is Purdy is going to be a top 3 fantasy qb this year. According to 49ers training staff Purdy wasnt done rehabbing his elbow until the end of November, thats week 12....let that sink in. He was taken out of at least 10 games by the 4th quarter, last season. This year i can see Purdy getting close to 5k yards and around 42-50 tds.
@josh1mark2 ай бұрын
I'd bet against this. He really doesn't run that much, their schedule is significantly harder this year, he's very reliant on everyone being available, and if Trent retires/gets hurt (massive if) that line will be the worst in the entire nfl. And as a team; everyone is older than last year and coming off a super bowl loss. I could see Purdy being top 5 value based on adp, but there's no way can he knock off the top 3 from the last few years.
