Preetika Rao's Podcast ‪@preetikarao712‬ giving the latest update on the lost Dwarka city underwater , the ancient submerged Dwarka city, submerged undersea thousands of years back!
In this educational podcast interview with Historian & Researcher Chandru Ramesh, we discuss about the significance of PM Modi's Dwarka dive underwater, his visit underwater to pay homage to Lord Krishna's Dwarka that submerged underwater over 9,000 years ago in India on the western coast of Gujarat.
The term "Dwarka" refers to both - the ancient submerged city of Dwarka mentioned in the Hindu scriptures like Mahabharata and Vishnu Purana, as Lord Sri Krishna's city that is believed to have been submerged underwater thousands of years ago... As well as present-day town in Gujarat, India that has the Dwarkadhish Temple.
In 1979 Professor S.R Rao an eminent archaeologist extensively researched the ancient submerged city of Dwarka through underwater excavations off the coast of Gujarat in India, providing significant evidence suggesting that the site could indeed be the legendary city of Dwarka mentioned in Hindu scriptures like Mahabharat & Vishnu Puran, and in the Jain, Buddhist & Greek ancient literatures. Urban structures, pottery, artifacts, and other archaeological remains found underwater, indicate the existence of a prosperous ancient Indian city making Dwarka one of the most intriguing submerged cities in the world! Archaeological findings and underwater explorations suggest the existence of a prosperous ancient city off the coast of present-day Dwarka, submerged under the Arabian Sea. While some historians are of the belief that the history of the ruins of Dwarka City should date 5500 years back, the archaeological findings show articles dating 9000 years back adding to the mystery of India's lost civilization.
Sri Krishna was the king of Dwarka & The legendary text Vishnu Puran mentions Sri Krishna predicting in advance that his city of Dwarka will submerge in the sea.
In this podcast, researcher Chandru Ramesh discusses with Preetika Rao about the archaeological findings that prove that this lost city is indeed that city of Lord Krishna!

As an American I think the Indian culture is the most important on Earth today. The ancient continuity has always seeded the rest of the world with technology, science and spiritual concepts. I feel excited that the true history is finally being revealed and the people of India may embrace the pride in that. Yours is a very special country!

Preetika your choice of topic is my favorite and I have researched on it for 30 years. Mahabharata was written by Vyasa with 8000 slokas, then it got enlarged to 32000 slokas and the version we read now has 100,000 verses. When was the original epic by Vyasa was written, we don't know, when it was put into writing also we don't know, but all these were passed from teacher to pupil, until 1500-1200 bc that we have a written version (but not with 100,000 slokas) ,it was one of the most popular epic in line with Gilgamesh, but had the complexity of Shakespearian characters, making it the best epic ever written. But the story of how it was manipulated to make Krishna the likker of the Yadava tribe was commissioned be the Babylonians after the Kuru destroyed imperial Yadava after the Kurukshetra war and replaced Sanatan religion with Semitic Hinduism adapting the ULU culture with Ram as their god, makes it a Babylonian epic and not an Indian one. Only after 3200years Mamta Banerjee was the first to debunk the Semitic version and replaced it with Puranic Goddess Durga, was able to defeat Modi/BJP/RSS in 2021 election and avenged the manipulation.

India is light to entire world in terms of knowledge. We had severe attacks since 3500 years starting from Alexander till British. Even we had challanges from new found religion like Buddhist and Jains lot of books was burnt . Few people migrated to south indian forest and villages along with familes settled and all remaining knowledge was byhearted and memorised . This is how south protected sanatanis knowladge like, Vedas, shasteas, Ayurveda, music, grammer, Astrology etc. Today also you can see few small settlements in western ghats forests.

From the commentary belw by Shrii P R Sarkar, one could infer that the events of Mahabharata occured some 3,500 years ago. This has to established by archeological evidence, eventually. The discovery of the submerged city of Dwaraka, off the coast of Gujarat is a good start. There is plenty of confusion. Myths, legends, facts are all mixed up to a point where we Indians don't know where the truth lies and fiction begins. We are to be blamed as we have an had an aversion to record history like other civilisations ( Chinese, Roman and Greek etc). Shrii Sarkar's commentaries generally throws new light for our serious historians and archeologists to dig further to ascertain or get closer to our true historical narative. We can't totally depend on the Vedas, Puranas or even the Mahabharata texts as there are many scholarly and historical distortions depending on who was in power in the ancient days of our great Indian heritage. "Was there social equality in the Vedic period? No, because there were many clans and tribes. Was there social equality in the post-Vedic period? No, because the caste system was in vogue. In the age of the Mahabharata, just before Buddhism, the caste system existed but it had no rigidity. Nevertheless, Vidura could not ascend the throne because his mother was a Vaeshya. Dhritarastra was the legal king but since he was blind Pandu became the de facto king. Karna also was not permitted to ascend the throne because he was born before marriage, but what wrong did he do? During the Buddhist age, there was equality in spiritual rites but inequality in the social order. After the Kśatriyas and the Vaeshyas were initiated by Buddha, they still retained their caste identities. There was even fighting between the Kśatriyas and the Vaeshyas after the death of Buddha for the ashes of Buddhaʼs body. The king of Magadh said that since he was a Kśatriya he must have the ashes because the ashes must be inherited by the Kśatriyas. There was no script during the time of the Rgveda, so it was not written down. Nor was there any script during the time of the Yajurveda, so it could also not be written down. Written script was invented during the time of the Atharvaveda. But since the Rk and Yajuh portions of the Vedas could not be written down, during the time of the composition of the Atharvaveda, that is, at the time of the composition of the last portion of the Vedas, people thought that the Vedas should perhaps not be written. Thus the Atharva portion remained unwritten like the Rk and Yajuh portions. Krśńadvaepáyańa Vyása is renowned as Vedavyása for having divided the Vedas into three main portions (Rk, Yajuh, and Atharva). There is a great difference of opinion about this word vyása. There are many historical figures named Vyása, however, careful observation shows us that Vyása is not a name; it is a hereditary title. Vádaráyańa Vyása, Saiṋjaya Vyása, Vivasvata Vyása - their titles were all Vyása, not their name. The name of the Vyása who divided the Vedas was Krśńadvaepáyańa Vyása. He was born in a fishermanʼs family (Kaevarta [a fishing caste]) on a blackish island(1) that rose out of the waters of the confluence of the Ganges and the Yamuna at Prayag, and for this reason the people gave him the name Krśńadvaepáyańa.(2) This Krśńadvaepáyańa or Vedavyása was the composer of the Mahabharata. The Mahabharata was composed long, long, long after the Vedas, but nonetheless it is undoubtedly more than three thousand years old. As mentioned before, there were small states in the then Bháratavarśa. These small states were always at war with one another, and the chief reason for the war was nothing but their selfishness. Each state was desirous of expanding itself and thereby consuming others. As for instance, Amga Desha (now the Bhagalpur area) adjoined Magadha, and across the Ganges was Vaeshalii. Towards the western side of the River Sone was Kashii Rajya. All these were fighting among themselves. In between Magadha and Amga there was a patch of fertile land yielding a rich crop of wheat, oil seeds, pulses, etc. Since this patch of land was mostly under water in rainy season, which made the land fertile, it was named Amba Bhumii (the Land under Water). Because of Amba Bhumii there was a constant severe clash among Amga, Magadha and Vaeshalii or Videha. Naturally Amba Bhumii was captured sometimes by Amga, sometimes by Magadha and sometimes by Videha. (You know the persons belonging to Amba Bhumii are known as Ambastha). In the then society there was no collective spirit, no solid social structure. Of course the people were strictly following the systems of art, music, dance, architecture and literature given by Lord Shiva. All respected the ideology given by Lord Shiva, but since the collective spirit was not there, there were Mongolians, Dravidians, Negroids and Austrics living separately. Dharma in the socio-economico-political field could not enter in and hence a solid collective structure could not be made. During the period of the Mahábhárata, Lord Krśńa realized the necessity of synthesizing all the different states into one and naming it Great India, because He realized that India was scattered into fragments due to the lack of only one thing, i.e. collective spirit. The then India began to have the sense of becoming one as for instance, the Pandavas were Austrico-Aryan and Aryo-Austric. These people were then living in the West Uttar Pradesh area, the present western portion of UP and eastern portion of the Punjab - the present Haryana-Meerut area. These people were the first indigenous Indian population - the present Jat people. The Pandavas and Kaoravas were Jats. The effort to synthesize all the states had also then started, as mentioned above. For instance, Bhima was wedded to Hidimba, a Mongolian girl from East India. Krśńa was married to Rukmini, a girl from the North Eastern Frontier Area (which is now splintered into a number of states). The wife of Arjuna was Citramgada, a Mongolian girl from Manipur. Hence we see an effort to make a common Indian race; i.e., the Mahábhárata could be made possible in that way. Shri P R Sarkar Source: The Role of Lord Krśńa Published in: Discourses on the Mahábhárata

Basically there are four types of script - Indo-Aryan, Roman, Semitic (alpha, beta, gamma, etc. in Greek correspond to aleph, beth, gimel, etc. in Hewbrew) and Chinese or pictorial script. The oldest script was invented 6,000 years ago and is called “Samalháptii” script. Kharosthi emerged after 1000 years. Brahmii is written from right to left and Kharosthi from left to right. Kuthila was used in Allahabad and east Allahabad. In Rajasthan, Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Bengal, Orissa and Assam Brahmi script was widely used. The old rock inscriptions of Emperor Ashok were written in Kuthfia. Ancient rock inscriptions found at Allahabad, Dacca, Calcutta, Patna, etc., are all written in Kuthila script. Later, the script came to be known as “Sri Harsa script” after King Harsabardhan who used Kuthila in his rock inscriptions or official seals. The present Bengali script is Sri Harsa script. Sáradá is used in northwestern India while Naŕáda or Nagri script is used in southwestern India. The Nagri script does not use a mátrá or a line over the letters. When such a line is used, it is called “Devanagri script”. The Sárasvata Brahmins of Kashmir and the Punjab use Sáradá script, and the Nagar Brahmins of Gujarat used Nagri script. The present Sri Harsa script is about 1,300 years old and the Nagri script is about 300 years old. In ancient India, Vedic Saḿskrta tried to suppress the Dravidian and Austric languages, just as in Europe Latin tried to destroy all the other European languages. In the Middle East, Arabic tried to destroy all the Persian languages, and in India Saḿskrta tried to suppress all the Prakrta languages. When Buddha began to propagate his philosophy in Pali, the Saḿskrta scholars advised him to use Saḿskrta, but Buddha refused. In Medieval India, Kabir revolted against the use of Saḿskrta as the medium of expression. He said, Saḿskrta kúpodaka bhákhá bahatá niira. “Saḿskrta is like the stagnant water in a well, whereas the peopleʼs languages are like fresh, flowing water.” In Bengal, Saḿskrta scholars tried to suppress the Bengali language, but Nawab Hussain Shah extended all kinds of help and encouragement to the development of the Bengali language. Till then, the Rámayańa, the Mahábhárata and the Bhágavat Giitá were written only in Saḿskrta. Later, the poets Krittivas, Kashiramdas and Malladhar Basu (Guna Raja Khan) translated the Rámáyańa, the Mahábhárata and the Bhágavat Giitá respectively into Bengali. The Saḿskrta scholars began to spread the false rumor that the Nawab Suhen Shah was conspiring to destroy Hinduism because the holy scriptures of the Hindus were being translated into Bengali. They imposed social restrictions on Krittivas Oja and excommunicated him from the Hindu religion. This took place about 450 years ago. Recently, some people in Canada and Wales revolted against the imposition of English because they wanted to use their own language as their medium of expression. Likewise, Bhojpurii, Maethilii, Magahii, Chattishgarhi, Angika, Avadhi, Bundeli, Marawari, Konkoni and many other important Indian languages are being suppressed by different vested interests. LANGUAGE As regards language, as was said earlier, after the death of the Vaedika language, the seven Prákrta languages were used in India. Paeshácii and Shaorasenii Prákrta were spoken by the people around Delhi. The mother tongue of Krśńa was Shaorasenii Prákrta. SCRIPT In India at that time, the old Bráhmii and Kharośt́hii script were in use. People who wanted to write the Vaedika language had to write in the Bráhmii and Kharośt́hii scripts, as neither the Vaedika nor the Saḿskrta language had its own script. The same Bráhmii and Kharosthii scripts got transformed and became the present Sarada script of Kashmir. Then the Gurumukhii, Nagrii, and Nauṋgala scripts came into, being. The present-day scripts came into being within the last 1000 or 1200 years. Source: The Social Structure and Other Features of the Age Published in: Discourses on the Mahábhárata

Thanks for the great interview, but just one thing at 07:40 there is a picture of an underwater structure which doesn’t look like a 5,000 (or 7,000) year old structure. In fact, the way the slabs under the pillar are placed on the sea bed looks like it was just placed at that location just recently. Can you please look into the authenticity of that picture? False pictures, unintentional as they may be, would hinder the search for Dwarka. Thank you again for the podcast and hope you don’t mind me raising that minor point.

The original Dwaraka was of course completely engulfed after Krishna's departure, but there were at least four different tebuilds after that, each time more inland, and as the sea encroached these too became submerged. So I think that if you go out further you will find even older versions of Dwaraka under the Arabian Sea. Is there not a modern day Dwaraka at the coast now?

Points of Difference There are conspicuous variations in four main areas of human society - food, dress, language and religion. Food In India there are four distinct food zones where either coconut oil, mustard oil, sesame oil, or vegetable oil or ghee are used. In the Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, most people prefer bread, whereas in eastern and southern India, people prefer rice. The food that people eat depends upon geophysical conditions. If all the people of India are made to eat the same food, regardless of their geophysical necessities, it would be a great mistake. Dress Similarly, dress and customs also depend upon various geophysical factors. For example, take the case of the Arabs who live in dry deserts. Hot winds and burning sands are their constant companions. Naturally, they are compelled to cover their bodies from head to foot and build their houses underground, otherwise it is next to impossible to survive. On the other hand, the people who live in North Bihar have to be careful that their clothes are not soiled by mud or dirty water caused by the heavy rainfall. Obviously, the 1 dress that people wear in a particular area is largely determined by climatic considerations. It is ludicrous to prescribe uniform dress for people, disregarding environmental conditions. People living in extremely cold countries automatically wear warm clothing, while people living in tropical regions do not. Language In every country, languages originate and develop according to racial and cultural factors. Though the origin of languages is fundamentally the same everywhere, languages vary from place to place. Racial characteristics are defined by the nature of the blood and the structure of the nose, eyes, hair and skin. The differences in the formation of these factors account for the variations in racial characteristics. There are four main races in the world - Aryan, Mongolian, Austric and Negroid. Aryans have red or fair complexions, Mongolians yellow complexions, Austrics dark brown complexions and Negroes black complexions. Austrico-Negroids are called “Dravidians”. The Aryans can be divided into three groups. First, the Nordic Aryans have reddish white skin, reddish or golden hair, brown coloured eyes like those of cats, warm blood and parrot-like noses. Secondly, the Alpine Aryans have milky white skin, brackish blue hair, blue eyes, slightly cooler blood than the Nordics and hawk-like noses. Thirdly, the Mediterranean Aryans have fair skin, black hair, black eyes, ordinary noses, cooler blood than the Alpines and are of medium stature. The people living in southern France, Arabian countries and the Balkan states belong to the Mediterranean sub-race. The Mongolians can be divided into five groups. First, the Nipponese have big faces, flat noses and big bodies. Secondly, the Chinese have flat noses and slanting eyes. Thirdly, the Malays have small bodies and flat noses. Fourthly, The Indo- Burmese have flat noses and comparatively big bodies. Fifthly, the Indo-Tibetans have flat noses and are quite good looking. All the people in these groups have yellowish skin and little hair on their bodies. The Austrics have medium-sized bodies and mud-black coloured skins. The Negroes have black skin, kinky hair, thick lips, slightly colder blood than the Aryans and are often tall in stature. There are several racial divisions in India which include the Indo-Tibetans, such as the Ladakhans, Kinnariis, Gaŕhwalis, Nepalese, Sikkimese, Bhutanese, Newaris, Mizos and Garos; the Mediterranean Aryans, such as the Kashmirii Brahmins and those with a reddish or fair complexion; and the Dravadians, such as the Andhra Pradeshiis, Kanatakas, Keralites and Tamil Nadus. In the pre-historic past the entire North India - that is, the entire area north of the Vindhya Hills up to Tibet - was under the sea. The area south of the Vindhyas, the present Arabian Sea, South Africa, Australia and Southeast Asia formed the Gondwana archipelago. The Austrics inhabited the southern portion of Gondwanaland, the Negroes inhabited the southwestern portion and the Austrico-Negroids, the Dravidians of today, inhabited the central portion. The bio-racial structure of different ethnic groups indicates the race to which they belong. As a rule, a strong culture exerts a great influence on a weaker culture. When people with different cultural backgrounds live side by side, the language spoken by the people of the stronger culture automatically influences other groups. For example, though there were marked differences between the Aryan and non- Aryan cultures, the Aryan language was so powerful that all the languages of eastern and northern India had to depend mainly on Saḿskrta. The influence of Saḿskrta was so widespread that even in southern India it exerted a tremendous influence on the Dravidian languages. The following statistics demonstrate the extent to which the eastern and northern Indian languages were influenced by Vedic Saḿskrta. In Bengali there are 92% Saḿskrta words, in Oriya 90%, Maethilii 85%, Tamil 3% and Malayalam 75%. Some people from North India travelled to the western part of Madras by sea and settled there, hence Malayalam is full of Saḿskrta words, although the verbs are from Tamil. The influence of Aryan culture was prominent on the upper classes of the society, although it had a general influence on the other classes. There are some Austric communities such as the Saha, Dhangrsh, etc. who speak an Austric dialect at home but Bhojpurii outside their family circle. Similarly, the Singhmundas and Sarkars of Ranchi district and the Tinneras of Tripura speak their own dialect at home and Bengali outside. The people of Gaŕhwal and the Kumayun have started speaking Indo-Aryan languages instead of Tibetan and Chinese. The Dravidian languages include Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Tulu. The alphabets of the Tibetan, Chinese and Indo-Chinese languages are the same, although the Chinese and Japanese scripts are pictorial. The inhabitants of Ceylon speak Sinhalese (which contains 87% Saḿskrta words) and Tamil (7-13% Saḿskrta words). Members of the Gunatilak and Bandar Nayak communities of Bengal migrated to Ceylon and became the Sinhalese community. The people of Burma speak several languages - Burmese, Chin, Kachin, Shun and other important and unimportant languages. Like the Sinhalese, their alphabets are based on the Indo-Aryan alphabet. The Indo-Aryan languages are Marathi, Rajasthani, Gujarati, Punjabi, Kashmiri, Khari, Bali, Vraja, Bundel Khandii, Avadhi, Chattishgarhi, Bhojpurii, Angika, Magahii, Maethilii, Bengali, Oriya, Assamese, Gaŕhwali, Kumaynani and Gorkhali. The Austric languages include all the Munda languages, Santal, Kerai and the Mankhamer group of dialects. The Tibeto-Burmese languages include all the languages and dialects of Assam except Assamese, and the Manipuri and Nagar dialects. The Tibeto-Chinese languages include Ladakhi, Bathii, Kinnari, Kirat, Lepcha, Tahru, Newari, Garo, Kashi and Mizo. The Sino-Japanese languages include Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese, Japanese, Cambodian, Indonesian and the Malaysian languages and dialects. Mythology (Puráńas) and History (Itikathá) Now let us discuss the puráńas. The stories that are invented to impart knowledge to people are called puráńas (mythology). Here the events are not actually true, but many of them are highly educative. Take the case of the Rámáyańa: it is fictional, but it is of immense educational value. Next comes history (itikathá). When we maintain a chronological record of some event, then that record is called Itikathá: Ghatánáyáh painjiin am iti itikathá ucyate. The English equivalent for itikathá is “history”. In Saḿskrta, there are other synonyms also - purákathá, itivrtta, or purávrtta. All these words mean “history.” The English word “history” is derived from a Latin root; its French equivalent “histoire” means “to record.” So whatever has been recorded, whether good or bad, whether educative or not, is termed itikathá. Whatever is taught in the history in schools and colleges is partly, if not fully, itikathá: that is, some unnecessary matters have been included, and some necessary information omitted. The fourth category of literature is itihása. Itihásati ityarthá itihása. The word itihása is derived from iti + has + ghaiṋ. Itihása is that part of itikathá which carries some educative value. The entire history or itikathá is not all itihása; itihása, which has no English synonym, is only that particular part of itikathá which has educative value. What is taught these days to students in the name of history of India (Bharatvarsa Itihás) is not really itihás. It is actually itikathá. Take the case of the Mahabharata. Dharmártha kámamokśarthaḿ niitisuákyasamanvitam Purávrttakatháyuktamitihásah pracakśate The history book which teaches the readers about the four vargas (dharma or psycho-spiritual practice, artha or intellectual pursuit, káma or physical longing and mokśa or spiritual salvation), which provides a code of ethics for human beings and presents the dos and donʼts of life, may be called itihása.
