in second problem ,,if we put the ratios 11:1 in first equation the result is 50.it is also a correct answer.??? and one more doubt we got first ratio 1:11 and why we have to reverse it and put it as 11 for men and 1 for women.

given that 6M + 8B = 10 days, then as per inverse proportion 3M + 4B = 20 days ( no of persons decreases half then day increases double). the answer is 15M + 20B = 4days. (here no of person increases fivefold , so days decreases five fold). simple........

A worked for = 5 + 9 = 14 days B worked for = 9 days so , 14/20 + 9/x = 1 x= 30 . so B can finish the work in 30 days
