let X be the actual time D=S*T,here distance are same 3(X+10) = 4(X-10) X = 70min put X =70 in 3(X+10) distance =240km

This problem simplification is a bit confusing. She should simply convert the time into hours as the speed is given in km/hr. This will confuse others as why she is dividing by 60 to get the answer.

mam....u have calculated t1 and t2.......and both are same .....so your equation does nt exist acually...i.e. t1-t2=20......bt if i put 70-70 then it would be equal to 0
