I'm so happy to see that you are still bringing out new Airtable/Fillout tutorials. I did an online training course on Airtable last year here in France, and now I'm reviewing everything all over again, so I can put it to use. I still find that you are the clearest of all online No-code trainers, though I must admit, I have to take it a step at a time (which is why video is such a good training medium!) I love your progression and sequencing, even if you do deliver it at break-neck speed, and I will always come back to you as my "goto" KZbin Airtable tutorial guru 😉

You are kind to say so! Thanks for watching!

This is a great overview of pre-filling and multi-page forms in Fillout + Airtable. Thanks for making the video and sharing, Gareth and team!

Gareth, thank you so much for making this content. I am very new to the no-code scene, with a history of spreadsheet shenanigans, and boy is it a brave new world! Your content has not only opened my eyes to many tools I didn't know about, but saved me many hours of research and angst. Keep it up!

I'm not joking when I say that comments like this is what keeps us going. Thanks Christian - hoping you enjoy the brave new world! 😉

This is great, thanks for sharing. I like the ability to show/hide questions based on URL parameters

They make it pretty easy, don't they? Glad this helped!

This is so cool! I've been helping my friend set up registrations for her summer horse camps and one challenge we have is closing out a camp when it's full before more people sneak in. Moms looking for good summer camps for their kids are fast. It looks like Fillout will let us set a max number per camp so my friend and I don't have to text each other the second we see a camp get full. It's been a fun game but maybe we could not play it for the next month or so and let Fillout set some boundaries.... Four of the weeks have already sold out.

It's such a snappy form tool, we are loving it over here!

Hi Gareth, thanks for the video. When using this form in Softr (as a url link, NOT as an embed), how can I pass through the Logged in User's ID to the form using a URL parameter? These forms have URL parameters that make each form submission linked to a particular piece of equipment, but I also want to capture the information of the user submitting the form automatically. Thanks!

Hi Gareth! Super cool and very helpful. Is there a way to use this form where you create the form but the questions have a prefilled name? For example, we have a survey that we send out that is specific to the employee. We want the questions to preload with the employee's name. "On a scale of 1-10, how was working with EMPLOYEE NAME" Is this possible with this setup or possible inside of Airtable?
@GarethPronovost Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. The prefill variable in this case is the employee and you can have a version of the form link autocreated for each employee. (50 staff = 50 versions of the link, each prefilled with unique employee info)

Congratulations on the quality of your videos. Even me, who speaks very little English, can understand everything you say! Can you tell me how, from an airtable base, a customer can order 3 A items, 2 B items and 5 C items.... from a single form?
@GarethPronovost Жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! You can't get this result from an Airtable form, but you can get this result with a Fillout form (demonstrated in this video). You will need to create a form which asks what itme they want to purchase and what quantity - let's assume 3 A items. Then ask another question of whether they want to buy anything else. If they say "yes" then ask them the first question again - what item (#2) and how many? This can repeat until done!

Hey there Gareth - I think this goes way beyond what I need and I have been trying to figure this out for a week now. I understand that you cannot display lookup fields on a linked record from another table on a from in Airtable and that I need to use the Fillout form app as well in order to do this. All I want to do is display like 5-6 lookup fields from the linked record on the form. #1 Can I do this using the free version of fillout? #2 Is All I need the equivalent of the Table 2 with the +Add button to add these lookup fields of the linked record to the form? #3 Or do you have another video that shows this type of example specifically? - Thanks
@GarethPronovost3 ай бұрын
Hi! For #1 you can do this with a Fillout free plan, so long as you'll receive under 1,000 responses every month and you don't need to customize the form theme. These are advanced paid options. #2 yes you can prefill the data on the form to look at the record, whether that is prefilled, or selected by the user from a drop-down. Hope this helps!

I love this video but why did you update the form using URL Parameters insted of changing the form to update mode?
@xRo5han Жыл бұрын
Can you elaborate on this?
@Pithon369 Жыл бұрын
@@xRo5han absolutely when you create a form with fill out it defaults to create a new record with that form however they also have a separate mode within the integrations tab where you can actually update a record inside that form. Even though you are creating pre-filled parameters with inside of a fill out form does not mean that you're going to be updating a record. If the form is set to create a new record it will do so regardless if it's pre-filled.

Great point, Jared. We'll be showing this option in a future video that we planned with Fillout. 🤝

salut Peut-on avoir plusieurs bases de données de notion dans Fillout?
@GarethPronovost Жыл бұрын
Oui, je suis presque certain que c'est possible
@FelipeVillamilV Жыл бұрын
Nice but you can actually do that in airtable as well
@GarethPronovost Жыл бұрын
Correct! Although the forms in Airtable aren't as robust as what Fillout can do.
