I don't believe that the "assigned to" field is possible to prefill this way in the form (here are the supported fields in their article help.smartsuite.com/en/articles/10305706-prefilled-forms-in-smartsuite) However, you can set a default value for the "Assigned to" field to be the user who created the record.

It works for pre-filling single selects and other static elements, but I cannot make it work for pre-filling a linked record field. Every time the page loads, it looks like it's doing a quick reload, and then no record is selected, and when I try to select a record, it doesn't give me any options.

It was working fine for me when we recorded this video. I'd suggest double checking the syntax of the URL (Prefill needs to be capitalized, spaces replaced with %20, etc). If you're certain the syntax is right, I'd then reach out to support at SmartSuite to see if there's a bug. Good luck!

Found the solution. The linked record needs to be kept as a "modal" rather than a "dropdown".
